Last December 17, we thought we are going to loose Bruno. Bruno has been sick for a while now. He has been battling with TVT (a type of cancer), survived Ehrlichiosis ( a tick born disease) and has enlarged heart due to heart worm. These illnessess were results from being a stray dog for quite a while. In the video, Bruno's heart already stopped beating. But this boy is a fighter and miracles always happen because prayers can move mountains. His mama is not ready yet to loose him so he is continuously fighting.

2024 was a tough year, but also one filled with celebrations of life and gratitude for countless blessings. As we enter 2025, we will continue to count our blessings and cherish every new beginning, especially the second chances and second lives we can offer to stray animals. We hold onto hope and pray that one day, humanity will open its heart and prioritize the welfare of all animals.

New feeding station of stray dogs in our community.

Grateful to my Engineering team in coming up with this. I just sent to them the design and immediately made this without hesitation. I always appreciate people with good hearts.

These dogs are schedule for spay and neuter in the comings days in order to control their population. Dumping them to pounds and euthanizing them is a cruel option hence, the need to do the TNVR or Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Release to their original place or habitat.

Three years ago, we got Louie from a local market. He was later diagnosed with FIV. Because I don't want to risk his health due to a compromised immune system, we made his own catio. It's safe to say that Louie loves this catio so much. He loves to sleep and eat because he doesn't need to scavenge for food.

How has your week been so far? What are you thankful for this week?

Our week has been quite hectic, as our furbaby, Phin, recently underwent a dental procedure. Due to his advanced age, we noticed a decline in his appetite and excessive salivation.

Following a series of tests and examinations, it was discovered that four of his teeth had deteriorated significantly, and he was also diagnosed with the herpes virus, which explains his persistent cough and cold.

Fortunately, Phin is now on the mend and has resumed eating on his own, which is a source of immense gratitude for us. The well-being of our pets is of utmost importance, and we are always thankful when they are in good health.

Today, I witnessed something heartbreaking—a tiny kitten, a victim of a hit-and-run. I was driving when I caught a glimpse of him struggling on the side of the road. At first, I thought he was having a seizure, but as I got closer, I saw the pool of blood. He had been run over and cruelly left to die.

I rushed to pick him up, hoping to get him to a vet in time, but tragically, he passed away in my hands. The sadness and trauma of this moment are overwhelming. I’m filled with anger that someone could be so callous, leaving this innocent soul to suffer. I’ve decided to name him Luis. I believe he's in heaven now, free from the pain and cruelty of this world.

To the person responsible, I believe what you did was intentional, and though you may not feel the consequences now, they will come. In our culture, there’s a belief that those who harm cats will face nine years of bad luck. Whether or not you believe in this, know that justice, in some form, will find you.

Please, I beg everyone—slow down and hit the brakes for animals. Stop hurting animals too as if they dont have lives. Their lives are just as precious as ours. Let’s show some compassion and care for the voiceless beings that share this world with us.

Receiving genuine smiles from animals is the most rewarding thing as an animal rescuer.

We currently have 14 dogs and 60 cats under our care.

Let us always choose kindness towards any species. We wont know the impact of our kindness to them until we give it to them.

Tally is still in isolation as well as being cage trained. We always make sure that our dogs are comfortable with cages so we wont have a hard time putting them in the caged in times of emergencies.

In the background, you can see our Bruno still in isolation because he is currently being treated for Erlichia, heartworm and TVT.

Last January 12, Lucy underwent emergency surgery due to pyometra. We noticed that she has been lethargic the previous day and it has been my rule of thumb to have them checked immediately by their vet doctor before it worsens. After the surgery, Lucy did not immediately wake up from the anesthesia and was scared that she might die. Thank God that she recovered well and she is now on the road to full recovery.

I got home late tonight so our regular strays were already hungry. The puppies aka little boss were already complaining. 🤣😅😂

Took me months to gain the trust of this dog. And finally, she trusted me enough to follow me in my house because she badly wants food. We named her Hope. When I started feeding her months ago, she was skin and bones, flea and mange infested. In this video, she gained a little bit of weight already. Her mange is still bad but its drying up already. Everytime I see her, I can really tell that she is traumatized, maybe because, people are shooing her away, sometimes throwing rocks because she smells bad and doesnt look good. But there is hope for Hope. I will be taking her to our house in Bohol where she can have freedom to run and just be happy where she wont worry about food ever again.

While I was feeding stray dogs, we found this tiny kitten roaming around hungry and alone. We took him home and now comfy and happy. We named him Summer or Samsam.
