ππ ππππππ | The Marine Transportation and Marine Engineering students celebrated their fourth Recognition and second Ringhop ceremony yesterday
The ceremony, held in the institution's main auditorium, began with the Academic Procession, which featured notable academic members and senior management. The solemn Entrance of Colors and rousing performance of the National Anthem instilled a sense of pride and anticipation in the graduates and their families.
Dr. Ferdinand G. Marcos delivered an inspiring welcome address, followed by Capt. Arsenio C. Padilla Jr., the Dean of Maritime Education, introducing the keynote speaker, Capt. Roberto D. Galang, Operations Manager of Career Philippines Shipmanagement Inc. Capt. Galang captivated the audience with insights from his extensive maritime career, motivating graduates to pursue excellence and resilience. His contributions were honored with a Plaque of Appreciation, and an inspirational message further reinforced the ceremony's themes of perseverance and continuous learning.
The highlight of the event was the awarding of medals and the Ringhop ceremony, symbolizing the graduates' transition into professional mariners. The Ringhop, a cherished tradition, marked each student's readiness for their maritime careers. The Turn-Over of Responsibilities, led by Mr. Jerry L. Tangeuangeo, passed the torch to the next cohort of students, emphasizing the importance of mentorship. The ceremony was seamlessly orchestrated by Masters of Ceremonies Mr. Jhon Scent Alcantara and Mr. Vhiemer Ilynce Corro, ensuring a memorable and smoothly conducted event.
