OOA 150700-1200H December 2024, the Agoncillo College Inc. (ACI) Affiliated ROTC Unit successfully conducted its 11th Training Week. The activity was participated in by 16 Advanced Cadet Officers led by C/LTC ANGELA MAE D REYES 1CL, Corps Commander, 6 COCC members, and 45 Basic Cadets under the supervision of MAJ GERONIMO D VERGARA (INF) PA, ROTC Commandant.
The training focused on Basic Map Reading and Land Navigation, which included essential skills such as identifying map features, plotting coordinates, and practical exercises on terrain navigation. The event concluded with a Christmas Feast, where cadets and officers celebrated the season with unity and camaraderie. The activity was successfully completed at 1200H without any untoward incidents.

On December 8, 2024, 25 Advance Cadet Officers, 9 COCC members, and 10 Basic Cadets from the Agoncillo College Inc. (ACI) Affiliated ROTC Unit, led by C/LTC Angela Mae D Reyes 1CL, Corps Commander, and supervised by MAJ Geronimo D. Vergara (INF) PA, ROTC Commandant, proudly took part in a Blood Donation Activity at Rizal College of Taal.

This event highlighted the unity and selflessness of our cadets as they contributed to saving lives. Blood donation is not just about giving blood—it’s about offering hope and a second chance to those in need. Every drop matters, and a single donation can save up to three lives!

The activity was successfully conducted without any untoward incident.

OOA 010700H to 1200H, December 2024, the Agoncillo College Inc. (ACI) Affiliated ROTC Unit, composed of 25 Advance Cadet Officers, 12 Cadet Officer Candidate Course (COCC) members, and 92 Basic Cadets, successfully conducted its 10th Training Week activities under the leadership of C/LTC ANGELA MAE D REYES 1CL, Corps Commander, and the supervision of MAJ GERONIMO D VERGARA (INF) PA, ROTC Commandant.

The day began promptly at 0700H with the Flag Ceremony and Invocation, reinforcing discipline and the core values of patriotism and respect. Following the opening formalities, the cadets transitioned to a classroom instruction session. The first subject, Dismounted Drills, focused on enhancing cadets’ marching and movement coordination, preparing them for tactical scenarios requiring precision and teamwork.

The second topic, Threats to National Security: Knowing the Enemy of the State, provided cadets with vital insights into the various internal and external threats faced by the nation. This included discussions on terrorism, insurgency, and other forms of destabilizing forces, aiming to equip cadets with the knowledge to understand their role in national defense.

The entire activity concluded successfully by 1130H, with all objectives achieved and no untoward incidents reported.

OOA 200700H to 1200H, October 2024, the Agoncillo College Inc. (ACI) Affiliated ROTC Unit, composed of 24 Advance Cadet Officers, 12 Cadet Officer Candidate Course (COCC) members, and 54 Basic Cadets, successfully conducted its 9th Training Week activities under the leadership of C/LTC ANGELA MAE D REYES 1CL, Corps Commander, and the supervision of MAJ GERONIMO D VERGARA (INF) PA, ROTC Commandant.

The training commenced with routine practices, including the Flag Ceremony and Invocation, followed by a classroom instruction session on the subject Disaster Preparedness. The activities concluded with Dismounted Drills to enhance cadets’ practical skills.

The entire activity was successfully completed by 1200H without any untoward incidents.

When calamity struck the municipality of Agoncillo, Batangas, members of the 401st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn), stepped forward with bravery and dedication to lead a critical search and retrieval operation in Barangay Banyaga on October 26, 2024. Their volunteerism underscored the vital role of reservists in providing emergency assistance and restoring safety during times of crisis.

As Typhoon swept through the province, severe flooding and landslides left many areas in need of immediate support. Responding to the call, 401RRIBn was mobilized for a search and retrieval mission to locate individuals reported missing and ensure the safety of those affected. The operation required meticulous planning and unwavering commitment as the team navigated difficult terrain and worked through challenging conditions to provide aid.

The reservists’ tireless efforts reflected their deep sense of volunteerism, which is at the heart of the 401st RRIBn's mission. Working long hours in hazardous environments, they focused on ensuring that every area was thoroughly covered, despite the physical and emotional toll. 401RRIBn worked in coordination with local emergency services and community volunteers, providing much-needed manpower and expertise to maximize the effectiveness of the operation.

A large-scale clearing operation and clean-up drive took place on October 28, 2024, in the municipality of Laurel, Batangas, bringing together the 401st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn), Batangas Cadet Officers, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and the Philippine National Police (PNP). The coordinated effort aimed to restore public safety and infrastructure following Typhoon Kristine’s recent impact on the area.

Personnel from the 401st RRIBn, along with cadet officers, police, and coast guard members, worked closely to remove debris, muds, and address areas affected by the typhoon’s destruction. Fallen trees, scattered waste, and other obstructions were methodically cleared to ensure residents could access essential services and navigate the community safely.

The clean-up drive underscored the effectiveness of multi-agency collaboration in post-disaster response, with each group contributing their expertise and resources.

The activity brought together committed reservists from the 401st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn) and cadet officers from different ROTC units, united by a shared mission of restoring normalcy for the school community.

The team worked tirelessly, clearing debris, removing obstructions, and restoring safety to the school grounds, which had been heavily affected by fallen branches, mud, and accumulated waste caused by the typhoon. Successful Clearing Operation and Clean-Up Drive by Alpha Company of the 401st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion

In response to the impact of Typhoon , members of Alpha Company of the 401st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn) conducted a successful clearing operation and clean-up drive at Purok 7, Nonong Casto, Lemery, Batangas. The operation was led by 2LT CRISTETA LANDICHO PA (RES), alongside Battalion NCO Representative SSg Mark Rigor Bryan M. Bobadilla, PA (RES), with support from seventeen enlisted reservists and three 2nd Class Cadet Officers from the Rizal College of Taal ROTC Unit. The initiative was supervised by Major ALLADDIN L ALMENDRAS(MI) PA, Director of the 401st Community Defense Center (CDC), and LTC GERARDO M CREAG PA (RES), Battalion Commander of the 401st RRIBn.

Typhoon Kristine had left extensive debris and obstructions in Purok 7, posing hazards to the local community and impeding access to necessary services. The clean-up drive and clearing operations, which began early in the day, aimed to address these issues, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents by restoring access to roads and public areas.

Through coordinated efforts, Alpha Coy personnel diligently removed debris, cleared blockages, and provided essential support to the affected areas. By 1746H, the operation was completed without any untoward incidents, showcasing the preparedness and commitment of the reservists to assist in times of calamity.

The 401st RRIBn remains steadfast in its mission to serve and support local communities, with their readiness and resilience evident in the successful and safe completion of this operation. The Battalion's efforts are a testament to their commitment to the Filipino people, especially in times of need.
