On this special day, I am reminded of my upbringing and the commitment, dedication, hardships and challenges my mother had endured in raising me up to be the man I am today. Life was not easy but mama you had to ensure me and all my siblings have enough and completed all formal education to the highest level upholding Christian values and principles. I am so grateful to God for blessing me with the most amazing mother in the entire universe.

I also take this time to acknowledge and appreciate my elder siblings especially my big sister who has dedicated her whole life supporting my parents and raising all my younger siblings. I love you and know that you will always have a special place in my heart.

Lastly not forgetting all our sisters, young women and mothers, widows, single mothers and girls in orphanages that you all are the perfect representation of God’s eternal love.

While it's true that chaos can sometimes create opportunities for those in the shadows and fuel motives, it's essential to recognize that chaos also brings about uncertainty, instability, and potential harm. The impact of chaos can be unpredictable, and its consequences may not always align with the goals or intentions of those who seek to exploit it.

Papua New Guinea is on the verge of (already in) of 𝒄𝙝𝒂𝙤𝒔 and opportunists, individuals or groups may view chaos as an avenue for change or as a means to achieve their objectives. However, the long-term effects of chaos can be detrimental to society as a whole, leading to a breakdown of order, increased conflict, and harm to innocent individuals.

It's important to consider the ethical implications of manipulating or exploiting chaos for personal gain. Striving for positive change through constructive means and fostering stability can contribute to a more sustainable and equitable society. Ultimately, a balance between order and change is crucial for the well-being of communities and individuals.

I believe if government agencies and statutory bodies are able to align indicators and strategic priorities with budget decisions, some progress could have been measured well. Most of the poor financial decisions made for development aspirations lacks initiative.

"The state of the country's Public Service Information & Communication Technology Infrastructure (ICT) poses an ongoing challenge across all sectors, extending from the national level down to the district level.

This issue has garnered significant attention as one of the core pillars and strategic priority areas within the Mar**e-Rosso government's recently unveiled MTDP IV 2023-2027.

Currently, Papua New Guinea's technological platform and IT infrastructure are woefully inadequate, particularly within the public sector. Despite the nation's rapid development, it struggles to keep pace with the surging demands of the ICT world.

Would the idea of purchasing PNG's own satellite 🛰 provide solutions to the current needs and demands? 😏

Friends, Family, colleagues and fellow Papua New Guineans 🇵🇬 in the country and from around the world, the date 26th August 2023 is declared as the National day of REPENTANCE & PRAYER by the Government of Papua New Guinea.

Let's us join hands together in REPENTANCE & PRAY for the anointing and deliverance of the Holy Spirit and let the healing blood of Jesus cleanse our mother land Papua New Guinea.

I for one pray for:
1. Public Service Governance: that the days of wickedness, nepotism, corruption, bribery, jealousy, and lust for material wealth be gone in Jesus name. Let the new generation of Joshua's rise up from every sector and take their rightful place to bring this country to new heights.
2. Finance: Deliver our country from the spirit of corruption and mismanagement. Forgive the wicked minority for their greed and lust for material wealth had caused households, families, communities, societies and businesses to suffer.
3. Gambling and Illegal Activities : praying for the adults, children, young men & women to break away from engaging in those generational curses that has already had a major impact on families and social well-being of individual lives causing people to move further away from the presence of God.
4. Law & Order: Praying for the current lawlessness and killings in ENGA, Hela, Western Highlands Province, SHP, NCDC and the rest of Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬. Lord you are seated on your throne, and anything with you is possible. Papua New Guinea will prosper in Jesus name. There is no God before You Lord Yaweh. PNG will see change and prosperity through complete transformation in the blood of the Son of God Adonai who live forevermore.

2023 Going Forward, Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬 will never be the same.

It's always pleasing and very comforting to hear oldies local string band music 🎶 and melodies in played on ukulele. Yet it saddens me to say that these oldies music will soon become extinct and die out with our old generation ages 45 years old and over. Gone are the days of ukulele as is only played in certain parts of the world.

I am proud to have at least witness first hand local string band music from Hela the home of the PNG LNG GAS & famous world renowned HULI Wigmen. The video shows village elderly men singing in Huli language with so much compassion and originality.

Pimping in Papua New Guinea has become a lucrative, profitable and quick revenue generating money 💵 making business. "Pimping" (noun) can best be described as luring someone into having s*x with the promise of gifts, money, material wealth, and without any form of affection or love.

Pimps are referred to as pr******tes but in a polite and friendly way and are mostly males. These males are professionals or conmen whom their main objectives is to lure adolescents women, young girls and other vulnerable population to engage in high risk s*xual activities with the person who has the financial resources and wealth. In other words, they (pimps) solicit (get) or procure customers for a pr******te or a brothel usually in return for a share of the earnings.

According to Garry etal., more often than not, the pr******tes are female. Pimps often lure their victims into prostitution under the pretense of a love relationship, specifically targeting adolescents who have escaped physical or s*xual violence at home and are vulnerable economically, socially, and s*xually.

The last 15 years into the COVID-19 Pandemic era has taught us all many lessons, so much has happened. With rapid rise in new infrastructure developments whilst noting increased usage & accessibility of technology and services particularly mobile and internet services has greatly affected people's way of life. With the rural-urban migration, more people have moved into the urban centers and cities in search of better life. However, this has raised concerns in the cities due to increased socio-economic problems and human rights issues such as increased poverty, unemployment going up, high turnover of school drop-outs , high costs of living, illegal settlement, illegal land grabbing, high rates of r**e & s*xual violence, prostitution, stigma & discrimination, law ⚖ & order issues, etc.

People's general understanding and perception on certain aspects of social & cultural obligations as well as upholding Christian values and beliefs have changed. Families are torn apart as a result of polygamous practices all because of s*xual immorality so as increase in many fatherless and motherless children including orphans.

Most of the pimping are consensual especially for s*xually active mature women. The area of concern lies around women ages 15-25 who are in their teens unaware of their s*xual exploitation by experienced men who take advantage of them and are often victims of r**e and s*xual harassment. They are trapped in there by their own bad decisions for a good number of years. Some die along the process simply because they felt unsafe to reach out to people or relevant authorities.

The highlights of new trend of activities happening includes married man providing for their concubines (side-sut) outside their matrimonial home away from their wife and kids. Instead of spending money 💵 on expensive luxury hotels for one night stand, they rent their flats or units for a month which is the same for a night or two at the hotel and can visit them anytime in to fulfill their s*xual immoralities and desires. There is always an understanding that these women don't disturb or have nothing to do with the man's family 👪 they life.

Those in the employment sector and owners of real estate, motels, lodges, guest (transit) homes, and hotels in the pretext of providing various hospitality and accommodation services allow these unforeseen events of illegal activities. Everybody is turning a blind eye yet we casually see speculation of images and of s*xual activities happening in these major hot-spots. No charges or penalties are being imposed on these premises or people responsible.

Provisions under the PNG Summary Offences Act 1977 (Section 55-57) criminalizes "selling of s*xual services. The Act also stipulates that it is a serious offence for those parties who provided a brothel or letting a room or premises for the purpose of prostitution.

Prostitution itself is illegal in Papua New Guinea, and those caught soliciting or engaging in prostitution could face fines or imprisonment. Additionally, the country has high rates of s*xual violence and exploitation, particularly of women and children, which often overlap with prostitution. The government and NGOs work to combat this issue through education, law enforcement, and economic empowerment programs for women.

There are no substantial (physical) evidence to provide or prove these allegations but the trail of stories by guests and onlookers prove to be shocking. The property owners, caretakers or managers are highly aware of this sensitive issue who are major players in pimping these group of young women (both employed & unemployed) and female pr******tes for their clients. Members of the LGBTQI community often referred to as key populations has significantly increased but are mobile and hard to track due to the stigma & discrimination they face everyday from public.

Tougher laws and penalties should be introduced and imposed on perpetrators and property owners who have aided or support towards the pimping business as prostitution or selling of s*x is illegal in PNG.

Stopping pimping and prostitution requires a concerted effort from multiple stakeholders. Here are some recommendations to address this issue: (copy paste)

1. Address the root causes of prostitution: Often individuals end up in prostitution due to poverty, homelessness, addictions, or trafficking. To tackle the issue, it's important to address these underlying causes.

2. Increase awareness: Society needs to be aware of the dark side of prostitution, the devastating impact it has on individuals involved, and the connections to criminal organizations.

3. Foster community collaboration: Communities should take responsibility in helping women in prostitution and connect them to essential services, social programs, and resources that empower them to exit the cycle of prostitution.

4. Law enforcement action: Police must take a strong stand against traffickers and pimps.
