BUSINESS OWNERS INFORMATION.

After you registered a business name with IPA you will receive a CERTIFICATE OF GOOD STANDING - LONG FORM or sometimes refers to as BUSINESS EXTRACT. Below are some of the information you need to know know as a business owner;

1. Annual Returns:

Under business name you are not required to lodge an annual returns. Instead, you will do renewals of your business every year. Its like filling (lodging) your business annual returns every year.

2. Date of last Annual Returns:

Under business name information on the top of your Certificate of Good Standing - Long Form, you will the date of your last renewals. Thats if you did a renewal. For new business name, the date will notappear until you file your renewals.

3. Other important dates on your Certificate of Good Standing - Long Form:

Also, under the business name information, you will see these dates;

a. Registration Date
b. Registration Expiry Date
c. Date of commencement of Business.

2. Expiry Date:

Expiry date of your business name always falls at the end of the month in which you registered your business name. For example, Joe registered his business name on the 17 of October 2023. Hence, his business name will expire on the 31 October 2024. Joe will have to renew his business name on October of every year.

3. Date of Commencement of Business:

The date of commencement is your date to you yourself have indicated when registering your business. The date you prefer will appear here.
