PNG Powerhouse Emmanuel Waine is off to Bradford in 2025!

The current London Bronco will head to Bradford after this season, per Yorkshire Live. The news comes just days after the permanent signing of Jayden Okunbor from Hull FC.

Will Waine be staying in the Super League, with Bradford fighting for a playoff spot?

NRL Dream

Papua New Guinean players won't be given a chance in the NRL. We started the SP Hunters team and entered the Queensland Cup in 2014, but how many have signed an NRL contract? I believe there are only two players, Late KO and JO. Even today, JO's position is uncertain, and we are still dreaming that PNG players will soon secure NRL contracts, but it won't even become a reality. Some of the best players are going to Europe and impressing fans in the Super League. They have stood out, but no chance is given to them; they are just ignored.
We can say that SP Hunters will give opportunities to youths and also benefit PNG, but in what ways does it benefit PNG? Only less than 10 or 10 Papua New Guineans have benefited, while we have spent millions. Most games are played in Australia, and all the spending is in Australia. I don't know the agreement for Australian teams to come and play in PNG. Do they meet the cost themselves, or does PNG meet the cost?
Let's look at retired players. Are they living better lives today? Were they well-paid and retired with enough in their bank accounts? We used to praise them as our role models, representing us, but few I could see were catching PMVs or walking the streets like everyone else.
Sometimes, it's best to focus on the local competitions and prioritize getting youths out of drugs and alcohol, enabling them to focus on sports, improving infrastructure, and at least having a reasonable paycheck for local intercity players. Make it more competitive in PNG rather than going to Australia.
