BREAKING: Another young girl stabbed in Port Moresby🇵🇬

I wish to advise the nation's capital city that another young girl from Moveave village, Gulf Province, was stubbed to death at Lapwing Drive this morning right in front of my house between 9-9:30am.

The incident happened when the roadside was quiet.

She instantly passed away from the knife wound from the neck, chest, and head.

Her body is now at the Port Moresby General Hospital layout.

It is very sad for the family. The full story will come from the family later on.

WARLORD SURRENDERS TO POLICE
The Ambai clan of Wanepop village in the Lagaip District in Enga Province has set history by surrendering a high powered firearm to police yesterday.
Wanepop Community Spokesman Tony Sulupin reported that in a small but meaningful event organized at Wanepop, the Ambai clan had surrendered their M16 rifle in the presence of Chief Ombudsman Commissioner Richard Pangen, Laiagam Police Station Commander Senior Sergant Sam Begofa witnessed by the Laipian and Kaimul Tribes of the Pilikambi Local Level Government.

A serious incident occurred at Tokorara near the Housing Commission Building, where a man attempted to rob a store close to Tokarara Market. He was apprehended by security guards and community members, but unfortunately, the situation escalated, and he was killed by the residents.

This violent reaction is deeply troubling. While the community acted to protect themselves, taking a life is never justified, especially after the culprit was already captured. The police must step in to address this lawlessness and hold those responsible accountable.

Law and order in Papua New Guinea are deteriorating, and even those we least expect to cause harm can become violent. Everyone is advised to remain vigilant and cautious when moving around the country.
