‘ME, ME, ME’: Meghan Markle Slated For Self-Indulgent Speech At Young Leaders Summit
Meghan Markle was slaughtered by royal experts for referencing herself 54 times in a speech on gender equality at the One Young World summit in Manchester - but only one anecdote about any other women.
In her seven-minute speech she wasted no time in telling the 2,000 attendees about her and husband Harry’s parenthood and how their lives had changed, but not before being welcomed into the venue by a chorus of audible boos.
“I can’t visualize or comprehend how the 2,000 young people understood a word of what she was talking about,” said Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine. “It made no sense. I don’t think she knew what she was talking about. It was just ‘me, me, me’ and praising herself.”
