Happy 40th Anniversary Revival Centers of PNG.
///////////

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friend.” John 15:13

“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.” 1 John 3:16

Ps. Godfrey truly lived up to this greatest commandment of all time; Love God and love your neighbors.
/////

As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Church, we are also celebrating the wonderful work, powerful ministry and life of one remarkable man and his amazing journey. Ps. Godfrey’s life-changing decision to repent, baptize and receive God’s Holy Spirit in Melbourne, Australia 41 years ago has ripple effects on tens of thousands of people in Papua New Guinea, the neighboring pacific island countries and the world today.

Ps. Godfrey’s quest for cure for a life-threatening disease he faced had led him to find God’s mercy, grace, and healing. Ps. Godfrey’s personal encounter with God has not only gave a new meaning and perspective to his life but also to other thousands of people in PNG and around the world.

The Revival Centers of Papua New Guinea Church Ministry celebrated its 40th anniversary of its ministry in Papua New Guinea (PNG). The powerful ministry started in a little unknown village in the rural hinterlands of Sandaun Province.

On the 1st of September, 1982, Pastor Godfrey Wippon started the Ministry in his little unknown village of Karaite, Lumi, in the Aitape-Lumi District. Nine members of his village came to accept the ‘new found and strange teaching’ – Repentance, Baptism and Receiving God’s Holy spirit with the biblical evidence of speaking in tongues.

Some of these first nine converts were instantly healed of their severe physical illnesses. The wonderful miracle healing news spread throughout the neighboring villages and villagers flocked in to witness and hear the ‘strange new teaching’ and be healed of their sicknesses. Thus Revival Centers of PNG Ministry started and spread throughout the country and covered the entire length and breadth of our beautiful country.

The Ministry has been preaching the salvation message of repentance, baptism and receiving the Holy Spirit for forty years now. Many Christians came to know the Lord. They were healed from many life threatening diseases such as Tuberculosis (TB), HIV AIDS, mental health disorders, and all sort of diseases.

New converts with social problems, such as broken marriage and family, alcohol and drug addiction, gambling, careless living etc. found peace and new meaning in life. Their lives have totally changed, they found restoration and meaning to life and are enjoying their life every day.

In church ministries presence of God should be felt and experienced. As the scripture says, come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). The word of God must be practical and meaningful in people’s lives. The scripture further says, where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17). Therefore, God’s healing and restoration is experienced where His presence is.

I have very much personally benefitted from this Ministry both physically and spiritually, and I have my own personal testimony and narrative to tell.

Ps. Godfrey is a true faithful servant who lived up to the Greatest Commandment of our sovereign loving God, he laid down his life for the people of PNG. Ps. Godfrey sacrificed not only his good life in Australia, but of his family too so that his people back in the village and PNG can have new and wonderful life.

When we are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Ministry, we are also celebrating the remarkable life and amazing journey of this remarkable founder and Principal Pastor, Ps. Godfrey. This is his narrative.

Like Ps. Godfrey, are we all true faithful servants living up to our Lord’s command? Do we have greater love? Have we done our part as messengers, have we played our roles as conduits of this Gospel? Do we lay down our lives for our own family, village, friends and colleagues to come to know the Lord?

I leave this for us, my fellow spirit-filled brethren to audit our lives and measure how much we are blessed through this Ministry, how far we have come and how much we have done for the Ministry and for God. Do we have our own narratives to tell?

Happy birthday RCPNG. Congratulation for baldly preaching the Salvation Message for two decades.

God Bless.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth. (Genesis 1:27-28)

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. (Genesis 2:24)

BEHOLD, THE HOUR HAS COME NOW, ALL SPIRIT-FILLED CHRISTIANS ARISE AND PROCLAIM GOD’S KINGDOM

" … As the father has sent me, I am sending you" (John 20:21)

"Death has climbed in through our windows and has entered our fortresses; it has removed the children from the streets and the young men from the public squares" (Jeremiah 9:20)
////////////////////////////////////////

In this stressful time of the deadly Corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic plague that sweeps across the world today, Spirit-filled Christians must stand out as lampposts and liberators throughout this calamity.

The angel of death is unleashed from the abyss another time again in the history of mankind. The pangs of death pierced all four corners of the world; from East to West, and North to South. Loud wailing of mothers can be heard from all corners of the earth, like the Egyptians mothers in the days of Pharaoh, or mothers of Bethlehem in the days of King Herod. Millions of lives are wiped out from the face of the earth by the plague and is continuing to do so. What happened? What has gone wrong? Where has the world gone to?

Knowledge have increased exponentially as the Holy Scriptures says it would; “…knowledge shall be increased” (Daniel 12:4). We are in the space age. Men have reached the moon and send space probes beyond the moon into outer space making amazing discoveries in astronomy which were thought impossible before. Unlike in the past, men have come up with numerous powerful inventions and discoveries today that make life much easier. Theses inventions and discoveries have expanded the horizon and boundaries of men’s thoughts and abilities beyond imagination. Philosophy and reasoning have reached new heights supporting and validating Big Bang Theory, and in every way shuns and dismiss the existence of the Supreme Being, God the source and creator of the universe. Mankind has worshipped the created things rather than the creator. “They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served created things rather than the Creator …” (Romans 1:25).

Men’s wickedness has reached extreme heights, much wicked and sinful, black as the darkest night, seventyfold more than S***m and Gomorrah. Men do not only approve wickedness but discover new ways to invent them as the scripture says: “They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed, depravity… they do not only continue to do these very things, but approve of those who practice them” (Romans 1:28 – 32). Mankind has rebelled against God and provoked him to anger.

Our own inventions and discoveries to make our lives easier have turned against us. We have deviced our own destruction. We are unaware of the deadly catastrophes we have created, looming at the horizon. Covid-19 pandemic is just the beginning and more will follow. This pandemic is a wakeup call. God’s voice is thundering now. Men must repent from his wickedness and make a full 360 degree turn to God for his mercy and forgiveness.

God often speaks to us in the midst of calamities, creating opportunities for men to repent of his sinful ways and be saved. “But those who suffer he delivers in their sufferings; he speaks to them in their afflictions. He is wooing you from the jaws of distress to a spacious place free from restriction, to the comfort of your table laden with choice food” (Job 36:15 – 16).

“For God does speak – now one-way, now another…in a dream in a vision of the night … or a man may be chastened on a bed of pain with constant distress in his bones…” (Job 33:14 – 19).

God often raise leaders to liberate his people from such trying times and calamities. In recent history, in the United States, Martin Luther King Jr. led the civil (black) rights movement to address racial discrimination, disparity, and segregation in the USA. Nelson Mandela of South Africa who successfully led the end of the apartheid in South Africa, and Mahatma Gandhi, the social activist, who famously led a non-violent independence movement against British tyranny and oppression in India.

In biblical times God raised similar leaders to lead his people to freedom. God raised Joseph to save Joseph’s own family – which was to be the great nation of Israel later in history – from famine. God raised Moses to deliver Israelites from slavery in Egypt. God raised Samson to deliver Israelites from the Philistines. God raised King Saul to deliver Israelites from the neighbouring barbaric tribes. God raised Nehemiah to rebuild Jerusalem and gather and unite the exiled Jews. God raised Esther to save the Jews from a likely holocaust at the hands of King Xerxes. In calamities and tribulations God often raise leaders to lead and deliver his people.

God in his divine wisdom raised and prepared spirit-filled Christians of today; the custodians of the Gospel; as leaders to lead and save mankind from such calamities as the Covid-19 pandemic now. The hour has come; all Spirit-filled Christians must arise like Peter and the eleven disciples on the day of Pentecost, and boldly proclaim the salvation message in the name of the Lord. “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Behold! Lest we forget the holy scriptures; before the coming of the Son of man, the world will go through great suffering; wars, famines, pestilences ...(Matthew 24:4 – 14). In recent times the world has frequently suffered many wars, famines, natural disasters and pandemic pestilences and continue to do so. Do you think these are coincidences? The answer is a big NO! The word of God is fulfilling. We are in the end times. All of these “signs” will come to pass before the Son of man returns in his glory.

“Kingdom of God is at hand”. The time has come now for all spirit-filled Christians to rise up and advance God’s kingdom. All men must receive the promised Holy Spirit in order to inherit God’s kingdom, for God’s kingdom is a spiritual kingdom “…for flash and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God” (1Cor 15:50).

Spirit-filled believers must proclaim the salvation message; in towns and villages; on the rooftops and in the alleys; on high-ways and byways; on the mountaintops and in the valleys; for all men must repent, baptize and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit to be saved. “Repent and be baptised, every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38). The great commission must be fully accomplished before the return of the Great Commissioner (Jesus Christ).

Everyone must receive the Holy Spirit, the seal of God’s ownership; “And when you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.” (Ephesians 1:13); which will protect and deliver men from calamities like the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the ‘law and the prophets’ was different, as in the story of the Passover; blood of lambs was used to mark, identify and protect God’s people from the plague that killed every first born Egyptian child. “And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.” Exodus 12:13.

Now God give something far greater, more precious than the mere blood of animals, something more valuable, God’s Holy Spirit received through repentance and baptism, to protect men from such plagues. Spirit-filled Christians must arise now and proclaim the salvation message. Everyone must receive the Holy Spirit to be saved, not only from the pandemic and other worldly calamities but far more importantly, to enter God’s kingdom when the final trumpet sounds.

THE TRUE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

We have around 41 thousand Christian churches or denominations around the world today (report from Centre of Global Christianity). Each claiming to be the authentic church, the true church of Christ, the original church founded by Christ. Each have come up with convincing doctrines sourced from within and out of the bible to support their claims.

We have 2.3 billion Christians in the world today. Roman Catholic has the most number with 1.3 billion followers with protestants including Pentecostal churches making up the remaining.

There are many fundamental questions relating to church that need answers: Why do we have many churches when there should be one true and universal church? Among these many churches in the world today, which is the authentic or original church Christ found? When and where did the authentic church start?

The ancient of all books has the answers we look for. God often choose not to give straight complete answers to mankind on many fundamental questions. He choose to answer our questions with corresponding questions, as He did with Job or like Christ to Pharisees, not to intimidate us but as a loving father would do with careful thoughts, he wants us to find the answers to our questions ourselves. In this way we may not easily forget the answers. In his Socratic method, he leads us to the answers, like a wonderful teacher would do. He hid clues and hints in his marvelous book with answers in scattered “chips and chunks” so that we can collect and put them together as a jigsaw puzzle to get the complete answer we look for.

Let us delve into the chief of books, the holy bible that contain the mind and breath of the God in search of the answers to our questions. “This is what is written: the Christ will suffer and rise from the death on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are the witnesses of these things” (Luke 24:46 – 48).

Jesus died and rose on the third day, and appeared to his disciples. He revealed to them the future of his church. As he spoke he opened their minds so that they could understand the scriptures. He advised them not to go out as witnesses until he ‘clothe’ them with “power from on high” as his Father (God) promised. “But you will receive the power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you’ll be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). The disciples waited in Jerusalem until they received the promised Holy Spirit, on the day of Pentecost.

God outpoured his promised Holy Spirit on the believers (120 believers including Mary mother of Jesus and his brothers, Acts 1:14) on the Pentecost. “They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues” (Acts 2:3 – 4). God fearing Jews from every nation who gathered together in Jerusalem for the Pentecost heard these believers (all Galileans) spoke in their native languages praising God, declaring his wonders and they came together in bewilderment. They were “amazed and perplexed” and asked one another, what it all means. Others jokingly said “they have too much to drink wine” (Acts 2: 2 – 13).

Peter, "clothed with the power from on high" boldly stood up with the eleven disciples and addressed the crowd. He explained the strange event witnessed as fulfilling the law and the prophets (old testament) and the resurrection of Jesus Christ and salvation. This was the first good news of repentance and forgiveness, and resurrected Christ ever preached in Jesus name to mankind. It was the dawn of a new era – the gospel age; a revolution that would greatly influence and change the course of history.

So, the word of the Lord came to pass; “repentance and forgiveness will be preached in my name beginning at Jerusalem” (Luke 24:47). Those who accepted the message were baptized and received the promised gift of the Holy Spirit, about three thousand were added to the 120 believers that day (Acts 2:14 – 40).

Before his time began, Peter was anointed to be the rock on which Jesus would build his church. He was raised for this very purpose hence he bravely stood up at the appointed moment confidently preached the gospel igniting and setting alight a powerful ministry that would withstand the tides of time until the end of time. “Simon son of Jonah, ... And I tell you that you are Peter and, on this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it” (Matthew 16:17 – 18).

The believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teachings appreciating and practicing their new found way of life and the Lord added to the ‘church’. “Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved” (Act 2:47). And so the first Christian church started in Jerusalem. The believers were first called Christians in Antioch (Acts 11:26).

Peter’s first ever bold preaching of the gospel in the city square of Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost had three thousand sinners repented and baptized and received the promised gift of the Holy Spirit hence the birth of the authentic church – the true united and love church of Christ.

Going back to our questions; there is only one authentic church that Christ found and that is the spirit-filled church – comprised of people who repented, baptized and received the Holy Spirit – and church that starts on the day of Pentecost in Jerusalem around 33AD.

The great commission stands until the last trumpet sound.

REVIVAL CHURCH CONDUCTS MAJOR OUTREACHES IN NCD
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Six Mile in NCD came to live this afternoon as the Revival Church conducted their church outreach program. The “soul harvesting” program brought the crowd in this part of town to a standstill.

Senior Pastor of the Nine Mile church Ps. Paschalis Willie led the outreach team with short powerful evangelisms, followed by personal healing miracle testimonies from church members and meaningful hymns in between. The engaging presentation captured the hearts and minds of the people to turn back to God.

The Six Mile outreach today was part of the church outreach program rolled out by the Port Moresby North-East Church to spread the salvation message of repentance, baptism and receiving of the Holy Spirit to provoke "non-believers and backsliders" to repent from their sins and turn to God for salvation.

Port Moresby North-East (POMNE) church conducted their first major Church Outreach program after the Covid-19 restrictions and lockdown yesterday (Friday 16/02/21). The church conducted six outreaches within POMNE district. The Outreaches were conducted at Boroko Tabari Place, Gordons Unagi Oval, and Six Mile Saraga Market in the morning, and Eight Mile Last Block, ATS Second Block, and Bushwara in the afternoon.

The “soul harvesting” activity was conducted in the Nation’s capital with such momentum that five lost souls repented, baptized and received the Holy spirit.
