The Finschaffen district backed Morobe Kandes under the leadership of local member Rainbo Paita gets into working in 2024 falling short of meeting requirments of a successful bid submission last year (2023) to join the semi professional Rugby League competition in Papua New Guinea. Aback the growing talents in Lae City not able to get into the only Lae based franchise, Morobe Kandes Rugby League Club aims at providing the alternate choice and beefed up through its recent engagments with newly established Morobe Country League and its affiliates, Finschaffen and Markham Leagues.
2024 is a working year toget Morobe Kandes Rugby League Club into the Digicel ExxonMobil Cup season 2025.
