Impact of Continuous Rainfall.
Rainfall in LAE has a significant impact not only on urban areas but also in villages and surrounding communities. The continuous downpour leads to waterlogging, affecting transportation and daily activities in rural regions. The overflow of rivers and streams due to non-stop rain results in flooding, causing damage to crops and homes in these areas.
The repercussions of prolonged rainfall extend beyond city limits, highlighting the need for comprehensive disaster management strategies for rural settings and better engineering in urban settings.

Time of release of warrant is the biggest issue face currently in National health department right now and Government is away of in and the department is working on it to solved it .

The 30% of the budget being wasted of over supplied and drugs not being use overdue.

The Minister confirmed that Budget shortfall in medical supplied in this year is base on quantification of Drugs that the Digital M system Generate.

He said,
The Problem is only 23% used M supplied System.

M supplied System is the digital system that National health Department monitor movement and gave generate report of consumed of Drugs in country Drugs not being consumed, so the National Health department can go ahead with Procurement process.

Procurement cycle of medicine take 10 months.

Provincial Health Authority had no doing their due Diligence.

Morobe Governor raise Supplementary question to separate Morobe from Area Medical Store from Northern region so it can be monitor and manage. When we have Problem or shortage will purchase of our own like this Situation.
Governor requested Health minister authorized.

In Respond Health Minister , said Department had giving 6.7 million kina Purchas Order to CEO of Morobe Provincial Health Authority.

Stop passing the buck to the Procument of Drugs for justification, when you Mr Treasurer failed to realize the actual annual amount budget for Health Services in the country under your leadership as treasury minister.
People suffered and died it is the murder you committed, for the failed shortfall of budget led to the country's medicine shortage

Mr. Treasurer, FYI, our Health Sector needs K500 million every year to operate, NOT K230 million. Where's the K270 million?

The Kalam men decorate their bodies with special “Bilas” (body ornaments) – the necklaces made of the threaded nodes of yellow orchid stalks, large kina shells, and beaks of hornbill, locally known as Kokomo, traditional loincloth, arse grass, or a bunch of leaves attached to a belt to cover the bottom, sugarcane armbands, and small round kina shells and feathers of bird of paradise threaded through their pierced noses. Pig fat is used to make the body shine and provide some heat during the cold time of the day.

Our team are so privileged with a willing heart to support the coverage of films and publish stories of the first Community service project called the Pikinini Kumul Project, to promote unity in higher institutions by delivering basic services to communities.

Kappa Goama a first-year Journalism student of Divine Word University in 2022 and was titles as Miss Divine Word University 2022.
This year 2023 will be her second year.
Kappa has initiated her first community service project with students from tertiary institutions to help communities in Morobe.
Began in Lae by sponsoring the dux awards for Lae Secondary School and then visited the children’s ward at Lae Angau Memorial Hospital.
After Hospital visitation the leftover food was organized for street feeding around the three main meeting points in Lae: Eriku, Market and Town.

Their most recent endeavour was a visit to Busamang village, where they brought food and presented it to the Lutheran Church.
They were received by the pastor who was excited to give the food to the villagers.

Early in this year 2023,
Kumul Pikinini community service project Team were now planning on visiting inmates in Buimo and Boys Town Juvenile Rehabilitation Centre at Erap as their next assignments and would then go to Menyamya with medical and food supplies to do awareness on basic hygiene practices for one’s home and body.
