The textile activity in chinchero has been characterized as a link between the traditional and the modern, currently the Andean fabric contains elements, techniques and ancestral knowledge.
Personally, the Andean fabric of Chinchero keeps a lot of history, respect for mother earth that are embodied by colors, styles, ancestral representations with a great religious and customary meaning and all these details are part of our culture which we should feel proud of.

I hope that human beings realize that animals are not beasts of burden, or do they deserve any kind of mistreatment, especially in Salqantay, Choquequirao. If you consider yourself a trekker, do things alone, prepare yourself, be strong, do not allow mistreatment and respect nature. I am a mountain guide, I will visit them and I will continue promoting with my photos until the end.

The mountains of Peru is an area with natural beauty and its inhabitants have traditions that distinguish them from other places. Since the Spanish conquest, almost all the Peruvian customs and traditions of the inhabitants of the Andes area were affected, particularly their way of dressing. The indigenous people were given dress codes. One of the indigenous male pieces of the Inca nobility that disappeared was the traditional “unku”, which consisted of a large and very long shirt, without a collar, with ornaments in the form of solar, geometric and symbolic hand-woven figures. Each rural area of the Peruvian highlands has specific characteristics in its outfits such as colors, shapes, legends, accessories and volume. The costumes of the women of the mountains were known with the Inca name "anacu". These underwent changes; the women got to use skirts combined with several colorful layers, that inside have cotton covers that serve as shelter.

Wiñay Wayna, which means "Forever young", is located next to Machu Picchu overlooking the Urubamba River. The site can be reached by the Inca Trail or from the entrance of Machu Picchu. It is built steeply into the hillside and overlooks numerous groups of upper and lower houses; it is connected by stairway and fountain structures (sometimes referred to as "Ceremonial Fountains").

#Salqantay #PampaJaponesa With a wonderful morning we already prepared to continue our expedition to the classic #IncaTrail, but first we had to go through #Inkachiriaska pass (4,959m /16,269ft), the highest pass in #Salqantay mountain range bound for #MachuPicchu.
