Triple Falls Productions Connecting you with the Arts, Music, and Culture of Mankato, MN

We offer our production clients around MN Sound, Lighting, Live Video, and more.

Triple Falls was founded in May of 2019 our vision was to form a mobile event company with a strong online presence to support the arts and culture of the greater Mankato area.

2020 introduced a number of challenges and adapted the platform to also cover social issues as they pertain to the area. This should address; what we do, where we do it and what we carry in our hearts. What: At our core w

e are a media company, we seek to entertain and inform our audience. Content on our web platforms features artists, writers, musicians, activists and influencers of all types. Triple Falls hosts a Podcast, Medium Publication and a number of different events from live music, speaking panels, creative networking events to dance parties and synthesizer enthusiast meetups. Where: We focus on Mankato and the surrounding area, this is essential to our brand and understanding what we choose to cover. Minneapolis may have a more kinetic landscape but we don’t leave the area to cover events unless they pertain to the area South of the Twin Cities extending to the Iowa border or people/groups who originated here. Triple Falls is dedicated to covering the most pertinent issues to our audience not necessarily what will get the most attention. Our hearts: We are motivated by the arts and cultivating what is already a rich culture of local arts and music. Triple Falls is dedicated to uplifting, empowering and understanding the voices of the marginalized people in our community. We focus on perspectives less covered in other local media outlets with a left bias.

Over the last 60+ years Bobby Drengler has been involved in playing music, recording music, creating spaces for live music to be enjoyed. From Two Fish Studios in Mankato which has a storied history in the Mankato music scene. He calls himself a producer and in that role he's worked with a number of artists from Ron Arsenault to John Denver and many more that we were excited to discover.

In this episode we explored Mankato's music history accross a few recongnizable event space formats; ballrooms, bars, studios, and more like the outdoor annual people's fair in Mankato, MN which took place over the course of 30 years.

There's lots of name drops and location IDs in this episode for those looking to dive a bit deeper. We were delighted that Bobby joined us and shared such a neat map of the history of live music in the area.

💜🕯️❤️🍄👐’The Things You’ve Kept, You’ll Keep Until….’ by Kaleb & The Nightingale Band is OUT NOW👐🍄❤️🕯️💜

It has been a wild road getting here, but here we are. The whole album is ready for you! It always feels so crazy and weird and exhilarating, and terrifying to finally get to release day.

CDs will be available at all of my future shows, Tune Town in Mankato, and you can also order them directly from me!

Here are 10 songs about a bunch of stuff. It’s a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. From optimistic peaks and looking toward the future (Someday is a Long Long Time), to sitting down with mistakes and hard truths (Unbeatable), to journeys to a slightly surreal countryside (Willow Hill), to feeling like the devil in the deep blue (One Arm Free, No Legs Free), and lots of other happy/sad/weird/nostalgic business. These sets of lyrics are brought to life by the Nightingale Band, an eclectic band that plays with genre and instrumentation. The seven piece ensemble put in so much work from the inceptions of these songs to the stage and studio. It’s so fun to see songs grow up as everyone gets comfy with ‘em and lends their musical voices.

This bad boy was recorded with Colin Scharf at his Gold Mine Studios in Mankato, MN. I must say it was quite the honor and joy to work with someone like Colin. He brought so much to the table. The guy is the real deal in every sense. He was never shy to present new ideas that would help bring the songs to new places. I think our musical palettes were just similar enough and just different enough to make something really cool and maybe unexpected. Colin does so much cool stuff in so many different aspects of our community. I’m so grateful to have had the experience of diving into this album with him.

I hope we were able to make something that resonates with you. Maybe it makes you smile, maybe cry, maybe dance, maybe reflect, could be anything. The Nightingale Band & I are so grateful for all the support we’ve received throughout this process. Thank you all. We love you so much and are sending hugs 🥰

This whole process was so cool and I am such a happy camper. There were so many people, organizations, and businesses that helped make this happen. Thank you to Arts Center of Saint Peter, KMSU at Minnesota State Mankato, Triple Falls, Copycats Media, The Free Press of Mankato MN, MSU Reporter, Mankato Brewery, Shelley Pierce, Timothy Lind, Mal Murphy, Laura Christine, Marne Stover, Mark Braun, Poor Lemuel, Christina Donley, Neely Prenzlow, and of course the Minnesota State Arts Board.

We wouldn’t have been able to make and release this record in this way if not for the Minnesota State Arts Board taking a chance on us by giving us a Creative Individuals Grant. It is so incredible to live in a state that invests in the arts and offers opportunities like these grants. Receiving this honor has allowed us to give back to the larger community in ways we typically aren’t as able to.

Kaleb Braun-Schulz is a fiscal year 2024 recipient of a Creative Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

We really really really hope you enjoy!
🌸 Kaleb
