🇬🇧🇺🇲Hey ya'll, new post published!▶️▶️🔥

The post is about the discovery of a female Swinhoe's Freshwater Turtle (Rafetus swinhoei) in D**g Mo Lake, Vietnam. This discovery brings hope to the species because, it was thought that only one male remained in the world. Special thanks to Tran Minh P**c from WCS Vietnam , which I talked with about this incredible news. Due to being a busy time of the year, we couldn't arrange an interview but I'm more than happy for the information he provided me and that made possible this post.

Here I leave you the link:

Hope you enjoy and I'll be trying to post weekly, on the weekends. Stay tuned!

❤️🐼 It’s the weekend! Kick back and treat yourself to some giant panda mom and cub joy, courtesy of the Panda Cam. 🎥 TUNE IN: https://s.si.edu/2SclqNp. . .
About Mei Xiang’s den: Bears in the wild, including giant pandas, give birth in small dens. In China's Wolong Reserve, pandas make their dens in large hollow conifer trees, with a diameter of about 3 feet. Where there aren't any trees, pandas den in caves with a little bedding of twigs. (Note: Our panda team provides Mei Xiang with bamboo, which she shreds and uses as bedding.) They stay in these dens for about the cub's first 100 days. . .
Zoo keepers strive to recreate these surroundings for Mei Xiang. She always has access to her larger enclosures, though for the first few months of the cub's life she will spend the vast majority of her time in the den with the cub.

The Mountain Hare killing will continue this season. The Scottish representatives agreed on protecting and banning the culling of this species but the law hasn't been enacted yet. This means another bloody and painful season for mountain hares😢😢 I am hoping the government will do something because these animals don't deserve to be killed. I will be trying to keep you updated on the Mountain Hare and hope that something is done fast. Starting tomorrow, the Mountain Hare hunting season begins.😢😡😡

The shooting lobby has confirmed the mass killing of mountain hares on Scotland’s grouse moors will go ahead from August 1, despite the will of parliament to protect the declining species, which is native to Scotland. In the recent wildlife bill, MSPs backed Scottish Green amendments to end the pr...

Here is a summary of all the white-tailed eagle movements in England since their release. Excellent news for the recovery of this species.😀😀

After a six week period when they were very mobile, the young White-tailed Eagles from the Isle of Wight have become much more sedentary in the past three weeks. Two birds, G274 and G324, are on the Isle of Wight, while G393 has returned to the North York Moors, where G318 has been present since 5th April.

We have been very encouraged that the two birds on the Isle of Wight have been regularly catching Grey Mullet in the estuaries in recent weeks. The availability of fish is one of the keys reasons the South Coast of England is highly suitable for White-tailed Eagles, and so it is great to see the birds behaving in this way.

Here is a summary of all the recent news: https://www.forestryengland.uk/blog/white-tailed-eagle-project-may-update
