I've played The Chillery at Twisted Frequency NYE Festival for the past two years, and no stage could live up less to its name.

It's about as close to chill as chili con carne on full boil.

Maybe it's irony, or maybe it's Maybelline. Either way, I wore a lot of eyeliner so maybe I'm born with it.

I'm two out of three costume changes into my set at Twisted Frequency NYE Festival when I decide to jump under the desk to dance in front of the DJ booth, forgetting I've still got my headphones attached to my neck. The crowd thought it was hilarious, but I think I laughed the most!

I know I say this every time, but I've never danced as hard as I did that night. Might upload the set later.

I'm standing in the crowd, checking out the sound after my set, and feel a tap on my shoulder.

As I turn around, this lovely, young nerdy student says to me in a tough ghetto voice ~ "you've got a bright future ahead of you, my G, keep doing what you're doing".

Oh let there be wisdom in the Socretes clad youth!
