Today we farewell our Broadcast Engineer, Vern Talbot who has been with the station since it began in 1991.

As our engineer for the last 33 years, Vern has been an integral part of the growth and evolution here at Maniapoto FM.

Vern shared stories with the team about installing the first transmission site up View Rd and setting up a disco mixer in the front room of the railway house which would be where the first broadcast for Maniapoto FM happened.

Vern will be dearly missed and we wish him all the best on his future endevours. Thank you Vern for all your service to the iwi.

Haere e koro me te korowai aroha o te iwi o Maniapoto.
