Mike King controversy explained
Activist and Gumboot Friday founder Mike King has come under fire following yesterday's controversial comments claiming alcohol could be a solution to mental health issues.
His interview with Heather du Plessis-Allan was in response to a suicide prevention fundraising event in Dunedin struggling to gain an alcohol licence from the council.
It sparked backlash among experts and today prompted Labour to urge the Government to pull their support from the charity.
