Saturday 27 April last race of season in the Raglan sailing club we done 4 races in a lite wind condition with a new Windsurfer Lt men Keith Stark coming from old school but still sailing also with IQ foil . We had lots a fun in the racing and with a friendly People in the Raglan Sailing club. Thank you so much !!

On Sunday 26th November here in Tamaki bay we carried out the 2nd preparatory training for the Perth World Camp, Bruce Kendall and I, who in addition to being fast as always being an Olympic Champion is also an excellent Coach... the wind had a average of 25 knots with peaks of over 30 knots....ushhh what an effort!!!

domenica 26 novembre qui nella baia di Tamaki abbiamo svolto il 2 allenamento di preparazione al Camp.Mondiale di Perth ,io e Bruce Kendall che oltre ad essere veloce come sempre essendo un Campione Olimpico e' anche un eccellente Coach... il vento avuto una media di 25 nodi con punte di oltre i 30 nodi ....ushhh che fatica !!!

OLD SCHOOL WINDSURFER COURSE RACING EVENT
The WINDSURFER CLASS originally started in 1967 but was disrupted in the 80s with the evolution of new materials and designs.
The class was reborn in 2015 thanks to the enthusiasm of a few sailors and coaches still committed to the class at the time as well as the designers, Bruce Wylie and Riccardo Giordano, who have worked with COBRA International to produce the new WINDSURFER CLASS gear.
Now the class has received so much international acclaim that a World Championship event was held in Palermo, Italy, in October 2022. Around 380 sailors from around the world competed, including some former Olympic champions.
The revival of the WINDSURFER CLASS continues in the spirit that distinguished it originally. We are a large family of sailors connected by a love for windsurfing and for course racing competitions that are closely related to sailing.
RACING PROGRAMME
• Registration = 10am to 12pm, 25 Feb
• Cost = $20
• Races = 1pm-2pm
• Format = Slalom match races, single elimination
• Gear = WINDSURFER CLASS NZ will supply the 2x WINDSURFER LT boards and 5.7 rigs per race
• Prize Giving = 2pm, an old school WINDSURFER trophy will per presented to the winner of the class
This is a fun sporting event using equipment supplied by WINDSURFER NZ. The Windsurfer LT is easy and fun, even in light winds as well as planning conditions exceeding 12Kts, depending on the weight of the sailor.
Participants will be registered for the WINDSURFER NZ CLASS for free, and be contacted for future regattas and class events.
