Vector Wero Park: What it's like on the water at Olympic champ Finn Butcher's training ground

But before Paris, the Butcher spent most of his time training at the Vector Wero Whitewater Park in Manukau. A new flying school has opened in Auckland, geared towards training new pilots amidst a soaring aviation industry. First Up's Leonard Powell went along to see if he had what it takes to fly, and APTG Instructor Tiger Liu put him to the test.

The Rapid Relief Team is on the road
Auckland traffic is bad most days, but if things are a bit slower than usual on Wednesday morning - at least some if it can be put down to a good cause. Eight trucks with 90kms of free fencing will be making their way from Pokeno to Wellsford via State Highway 1. The donated materials are for hundreds of farmers who were affected by the Auckland Anniversary floods and Cyclone Gabrielle. The idea is the brainchild of a charity called the Rapid Relief Team and one of its directors Danny Blampied spoke to Nathan Rarere.
