I've just been digging through the archives to build up something special and came across this gem. 10 years old pretty much today, crazy to think!

Scored this contract with EpicTV out of nowhere. You would have thought it was a spam email had you seen it, but I ran with it, and it actually paid really well, but all sorts of controversy on music licensing and platforms who would want to share it made it hard to get solid traction, pinkbike didn't get along with epictv and youtube, Facebook, and insta weren't what they are now with licensed content and channels.

Just wish I had the skill I have now with audio, colour correction, and general camera techniques.

Old mate wookie laid down a heater as usual, though. didn't exist then apparently.

Highlights from the 2024 Schist Enduro by Central Otago Motorcycle Club. Epic weekend out with the Enduro X over in Wanaka on Saturday and Hard Enduro in Poolburn on Sunday!

Hell of a good time filming it too, with wide open race pace, dusty loose descents, followed by unpacking camera gear quickly, shooting, flying the drone, and then straight back into cold bike techy hill climbs with an expensive and heavy backpack.

Personally, 30% of my life has revolved in some way around skiing it has greatly shaped my love for the outdoors, adventure, and outlook on life.

Having spent so much time in Ohakune, I know how vital its ongoing success is to the town, its people, and the greater North Island skiing community.

One of my most epic and memorable days on the snow in NZ (actually anywhere in the world) was July 30th, 2015 a white-out morning on the mountain, puking snow, it finally cleared mid-afternoon to boot-deep pow and ended with a mind-blowing sunset chasing down a groomer on the fresh cord, with open views across the plains to Mt Taranaki and the pacific ocean, all to a soundtrack of Rise Against, Drones.

So much variety from riverbeds, flat-out paddocks, greasy clay, pine, and native forests, epic single-track downhills, and crazy wet & rocky Hard Enduro climbs.

Less than Perfect Lines @ Coronet Peak DH. A proper Rowdy ASF trail that demands full commitment, all your energy, and focus. LOVE IT! This is maybe my 15th lap ever...Probably about time I hit that canyon gap...except I've seen one too many serious crashes while playing photographer...who wants to tow me in?

BluGazi is the latest trail up Fernhill, Queenstown - beautiful freshie brown pow on some semi-steep, punchy catch turns with very some sub-par riding, banter, and a very noisy bike thrown in the mix 🤣. New track courtesy of Dirt Tec Trails and Queenstown Mountain Bike Club. Goooo get some this long weekend!!
