SPLITelevision Productions was created to allow a bunch of q***r Kiwi creatives to explore creativity Malcolm.

SPLITelevision Productions, also known as SPLITelevision, is a New Zealand-based production group founded on the 29th of August, 2014 by Troy .J. This is not the first attempt at creating an online production company for him, but he's now teamed up with 'vest friend' Emma Paul to recreate the production team with the purpose of providing entertainment through as many mediums and characters as they

can. It is an independently run channel on YouTube and produces filmed stage shows, interactive series, musicals, podcasts and more under the SPLITelevision label accessible to a worldwide audience.

Last weekend we had just 5 hours to make a 1 minute film.

We shot it on an OPPO phone as part of the 48Hours film challenge, and although our submission was alright, our re-edited version is MUCH better!

Woaaaaah! Thank you SO much to all of the Fringe artists who nominated us for the 2024 "Spirit of the Fringe Award!"

Ryan and I have loved being able to offer our filming and editing services in exchange for koha to local talents and this year we got to film over 20 shows during the Fringe Festival!

A massive thanks must go to all of the producers and performers who hired us, Leki Lyons and Afrina Razi for being the GOODest people to work with, Jaz Jenner for babysitting us between shows, and to the New Zealand Fringe Festival for giving us this award.

We also want to say a massive congratulations to Emma Maguire who is one of the best people you can have on your side when putting on any kind of stage show, a whole other level of professionalism and expertise, we have collaborated with her for a long time and it's so awesome that we get to share this award with her.

Thanks again to everyone who nominated us and made this such an AWESOME Fringe Festival! - Troy.

Today is the two year anniversary of the AUNTY WHO sketch and music video that we made with Pamela Hancock.

This was the third of their music videos that I was lucky enough to produce alongside them, it's still my favourite and was easily the most fun to work on.

Naturally we had plans to make so many music videos, silly sketches, live theatre, webseries, podcasts and other content together, and it fu***ng pains me to know that will never happen.

Pamela Hancock was a STAR. She would go out and perform her heart out no matter how big or small the crowd was, she would go out and talk to anyone in the audience or on the street who wanted a conversation, attended so many community and charity functions, and touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Last year we lost this icon, and everyday my heart hurts knowing I'll never again hear them then see them running over for a hug and to share a smoke.

Of course, Pamela Hancock was but a character. An amazing character, but a character nonetheless. The genius behind her was the hilariously creative and talented Cole Hampton whose heart was even bigger than Pam's.

I am SO thankful to have met and befriended Cole, he was always so inspiring and keen to collaborate on any idea that came from someone's passion or even just for a laugh.

Cole and I have been friends since 2015 and we spent so much time together working on things or just hanging out. He came to almost every birthday party I've had since we met and my life's been better because of him.

Last year was incredibly tough on me, my friends, everyone who knew him or his character, and clearly it was toughest on Cole who unfortunately took his own life.

I know this is a long and rambling post, but clearly I've not processed his passing. I don't know if I ever truly will. But while I try to heal, I'll continue to share the laughs, love, and life of both Cole Hampton and Pamela Hancock.

In 2021 we managed to release 85 new videos to the channel (which is more than any previous year).

We also released a whole lot of audio podcasts, filmed other producer's stage shows, collaborated with a bunch of people, and we produced 29 extra videos for the PokeBoiz channel :D

Can't wait to see what kinds of multimedia content creation that 2022 has in store for us! Sending love out to everyone for this happy new year! 💗

The SPLITelevision Story

Troy J Malcolm has always spent his time creating imaginary worlds, stories, and characters to fill them. However due to a lack of money or equipment, it wasn’t until the 29th of August 2014 when he and his friends came together and agreed to produce content with him for his brand-new project: SPLITelevision Productions.

While the team were aware they wanted to explore and experiment with a wide array of mediums, genres, and styles of story-telling, it was also obvious that beginning a YouTube Channel and just producing content was a daunting task. So in 2015 with help from Emma Paul and Logan Burrell, SPLITelevision Productions was able to produce an unscripted variety show called “It’s That Time” which consisted of seven episodes with a large ensemble cast of their closest friends.

Many of the projects stem from a certain SPLIT (Split Personalities Living Inside Them) that Troy has been playing around with as a character, examples of web-series they have created around these characters include “Pteresa Ptalks”, and “Ray Timmy” which follow fictional versions of Troy in their own adventures, challenges, vlogs, and lives.

On their YouTube Channel they have also included general vlogs, behind-the-scenes, and life updates known as the “V-Guide”, and a whole bunch of gameplay series under the “Gaymer” umbrella. For some time there were also annual “12 Days Of Christmas” series that they uploaded daily during December.
