Threads is still struggling to retain users with the decline in use since it's launch in June this year, that is despite trying a variety of methods to attempt to keep people using the platform. What do you think? Do you use threads? Will threads survive 2024? Let us know!

Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori has kicked off from yesterday and will run all week. Get into the spirit and create a social media post for your own brand that highlights some key words for your industry. For example: "social media" is pae pāpāho pāpori and "hashtag" is tohumarau. Kia kaha Te Reo Māori!

In a move that surprised absolutely no one, Instagram is now experimenting with longer reel uploads - testing out 3 minute long and 10 minute long videos. This is essentially another move from Instagram to push toward a more "TikTok" style of content, bringing back the old IGTV, only in a newer, fresher, and vertical format. Most social media apps are making these sorts of moves, attempting to emulate TikTok's undying success. What do you think? Are you a fan of longer reels? Let us know in the comments below.

While X (formerly known as Twitter) has undergone a very swift rebrand- TikTok is the latest platform to try their hand at short form text content or "micro-blogging". Text posts will be available alongside photo, video, and live stream formats. You can customise text, backgrounds, stickers- very similar to Instagram Stories. What do you think? Or are you still using Twitter, I mean "X"?

By now you would have seen or gotten an invite to use "Threads", Instagram's answer to Twitter. While Twitter is still slowly burning down, Threads is a similar microblogging platform that has jumped to fill the gap in the market. What makes Threads different, is that it is directly connected to your Instagram account. What do you think? Have you claimed your username on Threads yet? Do you think it will take off? Or are you waiting for another microblogging website to take Twitters crown?
