We were privileged to attend the Manawaka Solidarities meeting in Avondale on Sunday the 19th Feb. Among the Panelists were, the hon Marama Davidson, Co leader of the Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand and Mervin Singham, Chief Executive of the Ministry for Ethnic Communities. It was very interesting to hear the many differing views on multiculturalism and learn about some of the journeys they've experienced.
A local Kamatua, summed things up really well I thought, by saying Maori have opened their arms wide and welcomed all peoples to Aotearoa, nau mai haere mai. To move forward as a community, we need to respect each other and I believe everyone should be proud of their heritage and their culture and celebrate the differences. As the French say, "vive la difference". (Video to follow)

Niche Media has taken its support for community Events and Festivals to a new level with the establishment of a Community Caravan, which also doubles as the companies "Mobile Production Studio", (MPS).

This gives Niche Media the opportunity to interview dignitaries, clients and celebrities on site and to edit video footage for immediate transmission to television studios and social media platforms, who provide the most effective links into the Maori, Pacific, Chinese, Indian, Korean, etc, communities.
