READ | Aberlour (NZ) added her own valuable black-type to her pedigree page when taking out the Listed Liquorland Gore Guineas (1335m) at Gore on Saturday afternoon. She also provided her sire Mongolian Falcon with his first stakes-winner when doing so.

* 𝘗𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵 Riverrock Farm's Chad Ormsby is excited about the draft he has on offer this year at the New Zealand Bloodstock Ready To Run Sale. “As a trainer and jockey I’ve got a good understanding of what a good horse feels like and how they need to be educated. I would be happy to have any one of the horses in this year’s draft joining my stable. We are offering a strong line up of well-bred fillies, colts from champion stallions such as Savabeel and Sweynesse and I’m pretty excited about the prospects of lots 10 (Vanbrugh – Diamantaire), 306 (Nicconi- Whymelo), 158 (Charm Spirit x Oh Dee Jay) and 189 (Cosmic Force – Princess Marizza). This year we also applied the Equimetre to all of our breeze-up horses and have made this data available on both ours and New Zealand Bloodstock’s website. The data on max speed, stride length, stride frequency and locomotive profile provides more transparency and also gives purchasers another perspective on the future prospects of the horses. Purchasers have had good success from our draft with more than 65% becoming winners, 78% being placed at least once and most racing on beyond their 3yo season. We would like to hope this gives buyers confidence that the horses haven’t been pushed too early, have been well educated and are quality, robust horses.
