2025 has been a big year for Kingston Productions in many ways.

There were the trips to Korea, Los Angeles, Toronto, Niue and the Cook Islands and meeting industry people from all over the world. Working with incredible creatives from Māoriland, Paula Whetu Jones as well as Moehau Hodges-Tai, and the Duel Weddings team - Jaimee Poipoi, Flo Lam, Sinead Lau and Shuchi Kothari.

I am grateful to the Descendants of Niue crew, Jack Tarrant, Vela Manusaute, Kellee Laufiso-Finau and Esther Pavihi. Here's to the release of the documentary series in February. A big shout out to NZ On Air, BCN and Pasifika TV for all your support.

I am very grateful to Angela Cudd and Caravan Carpark Films for your support and creative brilliance and I can't wait to see what next year will bring for you.

It's been a year of reflection, stepping into the unknown, being creative full time - what an incredible journey it has been so far but it's only just the beginning. Bring on 2026!

This is awesome.

UPROAR touched down in Sweden last month — screening at BUFF Malmö Film Festival and taking home the 2025 Church of Sweden Award. 🏆

There’s something powerful about seeing a story so rooted in Aotearoa connect with audiences halfway across the world — especially one like Uproar, built on heart, humour, and history.

BUFF is more than just a film festival. It’s a space that champions bold, youth-focused storytelling from around the globe — a place where fresh voices are heard, and the emotional truth of coming-of-age stories takes centre stage. We’re proud UPROAR found its place among them. 🧡

Huge thanks to BUFF, and to everyone who turned up, tuned in, and carried the story with them. Far from home — but exactly where it needed to be.

So proud to witness the 50th Anniversary celebrations of Niue being self governing in free association with NZ. Such a historic moment and not even the rain could stop it from taking place.

Kingston Productions alongside BCN is here filming our documentary series that will come out next year. Watch this space.
