A huge congratulations to whaea Hinewehi Mohi and the Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre team for achieving their goal of setting a new Guinness World Records Haka Record – with 6531 people getting mighty and performing Ka Mate, with permission from Ngāti Toa last night at Eden Park 🔥🔥
The previous record was set in 2014 by Wīwī, with 4028 participants at an event organised by Mazda France and French rugby club Club Athlétique Brive Corrèze Limousin, alongside a game between Brive and Bordeaux Bègles
Yesterday's event was supported by performances from some of the finest artists in Aotearoa, including a number of Tūī winners - many of whom Mohi has coached as part of the Waiata Anthems project 🤟🏽
