Here is another wonderful initiative to help the Hawkes Bay Flood Relief, please let us know of other great causes. We're keen to know if there is a feed/medical products supplier close to the Hawkes Bay that we can donate to, to help get immediate feed and supplies to those who need it.

HAWKES BAY FLOODING APPEAL

After seeing all the devastating footage of the Hawkes Bay, we want to do our bit to help. We want to do something a bit like when we helped out with the Auzzie Bushfires.

We have boxed up a collection of halters, leads, dog rugs and some horse rugs that we are going to send down thanks to Jess
from Matamata. Jess is organising collections of feed, rugs and other products to get down there as soon as it is possible.

If you would like to add to the pile we have sorted out….You can!

We have set up a collection on our website. You can purchase either a pony or horse summer sheet, no fill or 100gram rug, dog rugs and collars, halters and leads. You can tick pick up so you are not charged postage, or if you tick shipping we will use the postage fees to cover website charges & getting everything to the collection point. Products have been made affordable to benefit those in the Hawkes Bay.

Please leave it to us to select sizes and colours. We will make sure all sizes are covered & send more in the most popular sizes.

To order and help support those in the Hawkes Bay click here:

ADDING TO THIS APPEAL‼️For every rug purchased to be sent to yourself on our website that isn’t included in the FLOOD RELIEF COLLECTION between NOW and 11pm (so we can get the rugs to Jess tomorrow) we will DONATE A RUG AN ADDITIONAL RUG TO BE SENT DOWN.

Let's get as many rugs and accessories over to the Hawkes Bay as we can!

Our hearts are broken and eyes are hurting seeing the damage and desperate situations that many are finding themselves in across the North Island after Cyclone Gabrielle... Please if you have the ability to donate goods then follow the information below for drop off locations and let's get much needed supplies to those in need.

Hay, hard feed, halters, covers and first aid equipment. Let's get it all on the trucks team

"There is more that can be done, and more that must be done when it comes to protecting the welfare of the horse. We need to reconfirm and strengthen the position of equestrian sport in modern society. And to do this, we need to have the courage to look in the mirror and accept not only what we see, but also what the general public sees, unbiased without any filters.” - Ingmar De Vos

Napier based scientist Dr Natalie Waran recently presented a session at the FEI AGA. Dr Waran's research and education interests are in the field of ‘One Welfare’ – exploring the relationship between animal and human health and welfare.
