**Casting call - Paid shoot - Wellington - September**
With Search For Hawaiki close to completion and I'm reaching out to you for your help. We're currently scheduling some pick-ups shots to fill in some of the gaps in our story and we're on the lookout for a Wellington (region) based Maori youth actor to play the part of Fable's (Maaka Pohatu) estranged son. Search for Hawaiki is a story about belonging, recovery and identity. It follows Fable, a recently discharged psych patient, who finds an old tide map and begins to feel the call of the ocean and an overwhelming desire to find the ancestral homeland of Hawaiki.

We've had a hell of a time keeping up with everything with the current state of the world so we're finally getting around to posting.
We had a total blast making this during lock down, it was definitely a challenge to make a 48hr short film but what a wild ride!
Mad shout out to the Wellington Police for confirming we could actually go out side and play as long as we practiced social distancing rules.
**Disclaimer** This short was written, shot, edited, and all VFX made in 48hrs by two people..... who are definitely not actors.... we're sorry.

Netflix has announced a fund to help tv and film- makers impacted by COVID-19
The streamer is committing $15 million of the fund to "third parties and non-profits providing emergency relief to out-of-work crew and cast."

Check out our pilot, Moth to the Flame, a web series competition that we were finalists for.
The final product was produced entirely through the NZ Film-makers Collective and took about two weeks to shoot and edit, we couldn't be more grateful to everyone for stretching themselves with such tight time frames and limited resources.

Recently our team have been exploring a number of new motion graphic techniques to create more dynamic titles for our future clients, we're excited to share with you all sand hope you like it.
Congratulations to all the teams who made it into this years grand finals. Our team was disqualified but we had an absolute blast smashing through a ridiculous amount of VFX (we learnt our lesson!). Even though our teams film didn't upload in time in the spirit of the grand finals we have decided to do a 52 hour version... Watch this space. Thanks to hp48 and the hard working team for putting the event together, this year was by far the best!
