Our Kumara Story!

TORO Studios nz would like to introduce Huia Edmonds, an exceptionally talented illustrator and valued team member here at TORO Studios, working on the Kohurau-mai-i-Tāwhiti project. Growing up on the East Coast of Te Tairāwhiti and an upbringing in Te Ao Māori heavily influences Huia's art and illustrations. Not too surprising given Huia's name, he is a gifted artist when it comes to drawing birds, in particular the Huia. Huia plays a big part in ensuring our creations have a level of authenticity when it comes to the representation of our culture, and we are grateful to have such a gifted individual contributing to our creations.
