Simon Doull on Afghanistan's T20 World Cup Win Over Bangladesh
Simon Doull - former Black Caps bowler and well-traveled cricket commentator - joins Martin Devlin on It's Only Sport, talking all about the Twenty20 World Cup in the West Indies and United States. The Super 8 phase is done with Afghanistan - who have become the darlings of the tournament with a remarkable run through the World Cup - securing the last spot, with a thrilling and tense eight-wicket victory over Bangladesh (via the DLS method). As a result, they will play South Africa in the first semifinal, while India and England play in the second semi.
Doully and Marty discuss Afghanistan's victory and how they've emerged as such a strong side in the tournament, whether or not it's appropriate to support a team from a country ruled by the Taliban, and more.
