The New Zealand Government are to make decisions on the phased self-isolation reopening of the New Zealand international border in the next fortnight. The first phase - which is likely to be the border with Australia - will open up around the be end of February, and in a fortnight’s time all three specific dates will be released (the two other dates being Kiwis from rest of the world then everyone else).

This makes travel to Scotland for competing Kiwi pipers and pipe bands much more possible.

Attorney General William Barr resigned on Monday, ending a tenure in which the President Donald Trump loyalist carried the administration's "law and order" message but ultimately dealt the most credible blow to Trump's unfounded claims that the 2020 election was littered with fraud.
