One of the challenges in communicating the threat of an Alpine Fault earthquake was visualising something that was geological in scale and timespan. Christchurch mother and social worker Rebecca Parnham was looking for a way to speak to her children about the March 15 attacks. She started making seeded paper with them to allow positive conversations to take place. That project turned into ‘Seeds of Love’ which runs workshops to bring people together.
