Day 16.
Sometimes you forget that your environment isn’t just what surrounds you, it’s what’s happening inside your head. You can move cities, change jobs, surround yourself with new people, but if the space in your mind stays the same, nothing really shifts. The 75 Hard challenge made me realise that reading isn’t just about discipline or ticking off pages. It’s about changing that internal landscape, the quiet, unseen environment that shapes everything you perceive.
When you read, especially nonfiction, you’re not just learning facts. You’re building new tools, perspectives you didn’t have before. It’s slow, almost stubborn work. Word by word, page by page, you start to see the world differently because you’ve let new voices in. That’s the part no one talks about, the way reading changes you from the inside out. It’s not flashy. It’s not quick. But it’s grounding. For me, it’s become less about self-improvement and more about self-connection, remembering that growth doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it’s just sitting with a book, letting the silence do its work.
