Dear Special Facebook Friend

JMI Wealth is thrilled to extend this invitation to you and a friend to Bling-n-Bra, an occasion where you can unleash your creativity and embrace your inner child. Indulge in delightful canapés and bubbles as you craft your own unique masterpiece.

Let's dust off those creative cobwebs and reminisce about the days of glue gunning, painting, and drawing. Whether it's been years or just moments since you last tapped into your artistic side, this is the perfect opportunity to let your imagination run wild.

All the necessary supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring along your own materials to add a personal touch to your bespoke creation.

Keynote Speaker Monica Moore, author of "Buy the Damn Dress," will explore the intricate process of shaping each day into your "best day ever" by harnessing the influence of your self-dialogue, mindset, viewpoint, and attitude.

Cath, a cherished member of the JMI family will bravely share her personal story.

Breast cancer affects too many Kiwi women, with 1 in 9 facing a diagnosis in their lifetime. Tragically, 650 women in Aotearoa lose their lives to this disease every year. Together, we can make a meaningful difference by raising funds for vital education, patient support, and medical research. Our aim is to raise both funds and awareness for this important cause, which resonates deeply with many of us.

SINGAPORE-MELBOURNE -day ‘it’s a blur’

It makes sense to travel at night to make the most of the days but after two nights consecutively on planes the linex were blurred.

My travel companion Julie Nottage said ‘are you sure it’s still 5th Feb?’

We adopted a child between Delhi and Singapore and looked after her for a night and day until she boarded for uni. We’re going to meet up with her again next month in Perth.

We met up with professional speakers from Asia Professional Speakers - Singapore (APSS) had lunch and buzzy chat - wonderful.
Thanks Cathy Johnson for picking us up and Josiah Tay Guan Hin and Shaen Yeo for your company at lunch.

We made contact also with a speaker agent who was very professional with great energy.

Loved the efficiency and sense of community in Singapore.

Arrived back at the Hyatt Centric and we were both excited to stretch out on a bed.

Showers, power naps and getting our ‘professional on’ to speak at midday

LEARNINGS FROM INDIA - Day Three

Spent the day at the conference but managed to get out to a shopping mall and experienced a direct contrast to Old Delhi.

The conference delegates were delightful.

I don’t think I’ve spoken in a room with so many highly educated well qualified humans who showed such deep authentic appreciation and expressed it person after person all day.

They were humble and treated me with such revere after I delivered my presentation.
It was certainly an ego boost.

Medical Professors, chemical engineers, a Brigadier, lawyers, all beautifully spoken with a thirst to learn more, to be better, to make a difference.

I got water in my eyes a few times. (Thank you no run mascara)

The vibe of 150 plus was beautiful. I answered questions, got my photo taken, gave many camera interviews and got to interact with these outstanding humans.

What a privilege💜

Julie Nottage and I went to a mall with her friend who had organised our drivers and film crew.

The mall was 5 storeys high and quite a contrast to Old Delhi.

I had elbows and calves covered this time (learned the hard way) so while we were the only white people there m, there were less looks and photos although a few followed us videoing what must have been novelty humans to them.

There are security checks on entering our hotel and it was the same with this shopping mall. Men are frisked publicly while women enter a makeshift area covered in black material. I felt for the two women who had to stay in there all day in the dark running their security wands over others.

Whenever we arrived at the hotel security checked the under the bonnet and boot of the cars we were in before they could enter.

There was also security outside our hotel and our bags were out through an x ray machine.

Neryl East is still laughing at me saying ‘no thanks’ because I thought they wanted to carry my bag for me the first time we encountered these machines.

Tomorrow is our last day. My colleagues are speaking abd I get to be their support person as they were mine. I’m grateful for their care.

Speaking is about serving and I’m thrilled to have served such beautiful warm people mostly from across India but I believe 22 countries were represented including Spain, Singapore and Maldives. Grateful🙏🏼

LEARNINGS FROM INDIA - Day One

India you are a finely tuned ‘Organised Chaos’

⭐️You are smart and you know what
you are about. My euro-kiwi lens
has been stretched and I’ve grown
in my perspective on this beautiful multi-cultural world of deliciousness.

⭐️Driving - nothing like our rule bound
narrow ‘stay-between-the lines’ approach.

⭐️The 400 km round trip woke me up
to the connectedness the drivers
have to each other. Their peripheral
vision is incredible and the horn tooting is
not ‘get out of my way’ - it’s a ’just letting
you know I’m here’ and more often than
not ‘You can move here’

⭐️Julia Grace Cato-Booth, Julie Nottage and
I looked out our panoramic 12th storey Hotel window last night at fireworks,
a wedding celebration, the streams of traffic on a network of roading that serves
34 million, a railway station, cows regally walking wherever they wanted and we realised the synergy and connectedness of this fascinating place.

The Taj Mahal speaks it ‘all’ - a place built from love and in grandeur, standing in magnificence of the uniqueness of every individual, rising above our flaws and acknowledging that ‘it’s ok’ to have them.

PREP FOR INDIA

I’d like to say that I folded this beautiful sari and got it on myself but that would be a lie.

I’d like to say that I quickly picked up all the instructions carefully taught to me on how to put this sari on but that would also be a lie.

What isn’t a lie is that these garments are beautiful and so easy to wear.

Big thanks to Abhimanyu Garud and his real Mother (I’m his Kiwi Mum) for making this happen⭐️🙏🏼💜

CARRYON CLUTTER SAVER

Twelve years ago a 75 year old woman taught me the art of travelling light.

It’s been a game changer.

No waiting at airports for luggage.

No trying to find or choose an outfit.

My mind gets easily cluttered so by organising my bag I don’t have to think.

I’ve had the same ziplock bags for years.

There are 9 outfits packed into this bag along with toiletries and 2 pairs of shoes.

4 speaking events across two countries and client meetings across 3.

I’m sorted.

Happy to share the tips and tricks I learned 12 years ago.

Proactive communication is a mindset and changes every level of your life⭐️

Australia, India, Singapore - here I come!

CLEANSE

I love this time of year. I’ve had rest and fun in the sun.

I’ve spent time with precious family and friends.

I’ve walked and reflected - a lot.

Now it’s time for a New Year cleanse.

I got rid of New Year’s resolutions years ago - they’re too idealistic rather than realistic.

A cleanse is realistic.

A cleanse is tangible actionable and measurable.

A cleanse works

I’ve spent the last ten days working on my business, building on what worked well last year, ditching what didn’t, updating my materials, updating my systems and processes (crucial) catching up with clients for face to face meetings (love) and honing down and redefining my brand.

I’ve also got those ‘pushed to one side’ annoying little but important jobs done.

It feels so good to get that done.

I’m ready.

Are you?

UNCOMPLICATING WORDS POOLSIDE

It was a stunning bluest of blue sky days and our yard backs on to the sea.

My childish illusions of us sitting in the sun drinking tropical drinks in our sarongs after spending 5 minutes booking a multi-stop business trip to speak at conferences and catch up with clients were quickly shattered.

We attempted to squint at our laptops battling the mix of sunscreen and sweat from our eyes.

Surrendering inside and with laptops working in overload, power cables and phone chargers challenging Health and Safety requirements, illegible penciled notes on scrap paper (the back of the phone bill and serviettes) strategically placed ‘everywhere’ my idealistic 5 minutes turned into a realistic 5 hours.

However amongst the chaos and cocophany we made it work.

We decided we needed some physical exercise after the serious brain marathon we’d just been on and to burn off the volume of ‘quick snacks’ we’d motored through to ‘cope’.

(On a positive note there was no longer a need to worry storage for the pile of edible client gifts we’d received in 2023.)

We rewarded ourselves with a swim.

We had hopeful anticipation that we’d do 30 serious lengths and we did wear sport swim suits but we settled for some dog paddling and talking about our favourite topic and area of life that we are ‘actually’ very good at which is why many organisations complicate their words by NOT having:

✅ Common words and phrases using your organisations vision, mission, purpose and values to improve culture, productivity and customer/client experience

✅ A simple, clear world-champion formula for presenting information

✅ A delivery stile that positively connects and impacts words to others.

We are Monica Moore and Julie Nottage.

In our 30 plus years of working with organisations we have noticed so many people exhausting themselves by not organising their words.

We can help!

We’re going to be in MELBOURNE and SINGAPORE late January/early February.
if you’d like to catch up to chat about how we can make your organisation more ‘word-savvy’.

ACUTE KINDNESS - STUFF DON’T MATTER

This festive season make acute kindness your words, your focus and your actions.

Quit worrying about ‘the stuff’. Stuff don’t matter.

Be a role model and ambassador to acute kindness - deliver and expect it with a laser focus.

Whether you lay down your guns, chat to your elderly neighbour or simply take a minute to breathe in the good.

Do it.

I’ve experienced it three times today already - and it’s made a huge difference.

I’ll be ‘out there’ giving it back, paying it forward and expecting nothing else.

Have a blessed time wherever you are.
