'We knew we wanted a nice outdoor area to host the 30 people we had invited and I loved the water feature and the beautiful surrounding gardens for photos. For the after party/reception, the rest of our friends thought they were coming to our engagement party at Dux Central, but we surprised them by turning up in our wedding gears with the news that we had got married earlier that day.'

‘Our rule of thumb is to do the numbers based on the following: 2x glasses of bubbles per person and divide that number by five. You should get 6 flutes per bottle. Do the numbers on five glasses which gives you a wee buffer.

For example 100 guests, 200 glasses, 40x bottles. We then suggest another 1x bottle per person for the rest of the wine. There are always beer drinkers, and non drinkers, and a few aunties who drink more than a bottle, and girlfriends drinking bubbles all night!

‘After a super intimate elopement during the day, we hired out the Upper Dux at Dux Central for our reception. They were fantastic, providing catering, music and microphones for speeches. We celebrated with 100 of our loved ones. It really was the best day ever!’

'The day goes unbelievably fast so try your best to take it all in and enjoy all the small moments! Taking 10 minutes out just to be with your husband and sit and have a breather is always a great idea. Also don’t sweat the small things on the day if things don’t go exactly as you planned! Guests don’t know what you have planned or what is meant to be happening so they don’t know any different if little things aren’t happening as they were meant to. Just go with it and embrace it!'
