Farakilo Dharti (Wider Earth) is a solution oriented radio talk show aiming to help Nepal's peace process. The talk show has been produced since 2009 by several FM stations throughout the country around a shared set of objectives. It has been started with the belief that the radio can play a positive role in promoting peace, reducing violence and bandas, and fostering cooperation between groups. F

arakilo Dharti has achieved results in communities; leaders of marginalized groups across the country report that the program gives them a platform for their voices. Additionally, FM producers report the show contributing to resolving local-level conflicts and improving relationships among ethnic groups, often initiating dialogue processes after the airing of a particular episode. From the begining of 2012, 14 radio stations are producing and broadcasting the programme locally across the country.
