The American outdoor brand 'Columbia' has opened its branch in Namche Bazaar, Sagarmatha region. Previously, the first branch in the tourist hub Thamel and the second branch in Pokhara were in operation. The brand has now expanded to Namche.

The showroom of 'Columbia' operating in Namche was inaugurated by Dr. Lakpa Gelu Sherpa, the first climber to summit Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen. Himalayan Outdoor Gear Pvt. Ltd. is the official distributor of Columbia in Nepal. The company's managing director, Dikila Sherpa Lama, mentioned that the branch in Thamel has been operating since 2017, and the Pokhara branch has been operational since 2018.
