Indie Distribution ble startet opp i 2005 av en kreativ gjeng med lang erfaring fra plateselskap, platebutikker, postordreselskap, musikkmagasiner og konsert- og turnéorganisering. Indie Distribution har frem til 2014 vært eksklusiv distributør av hundrevis av kvalitetslabler som Nuclear Blast, SPV, Peaceville, Glitterhouse, Blue Rose, Season Of Mist, Metal Blade, Na**lm, Pias, Bad Taste, Play It

Again Sam, Bloodshot, Fat Wreck, Dark Essence/Karisma, Saddle Creek, Century Media, Fat Possum, Prophecy, Fire Records, Real World, Roadrunner (vinyl), Rise Above, Prosthetic, Wichita og mange, mange flere. I tillegg til Indie Distribution drives Norges fremste rock og metal-label, Indie Recordings, av gjengen bak Indie Distribution. Indie Recordings har band som Kvelertak, Satyricon, Shining, Cult Of Luna, 1349, Sahg, El Caco m.fl.i stallen.
