For dei ekstra interesserte har vi lyst å fortelle litt om den bakaren i historia til Inger Hagerup - altså broren til han julekakebakeren vi syng om.

Han var ein ekte bakar, og dreiv bakeri på Storholmen, ei bitte lita øy ute ved Kvamsøya kor Inger Hagerup tilbragte mange feriar då ho var ung. Han heit Gerhard Bakke, og var onkelen til Inger Hagrup. Det blir sagt at det var han som inspirerte henne til å skrive dette diktet. Det stemmer nok ikkje at han døde i en haug med winerbrød, men at han muligens var lei av boller og kaker kan nok hende - han slutta iallefall med bakinga. Det lille gule huset de ser på biletet er bakeriet hass (på ekte). https://www.storholmen.as

I og med at broren hass, altså vår julekakebakar, budde på naboøya, så vil det jo seie at han faktisk er sunnmøring han og!

Om han budde på ei av Sandsholmane, Haugsholmen eller Frekøya, eller ei anna lita øy er litt usikkert.... men om du ein dag finn restar av gamle kakesmular eller ein liten fattigmann der ute - så er det heilt sikkert der!!

These typically encompass "Berlinerkranser" - buttery wreaths made with hard-boiled egg yolks, "Krumkaker" - delicate waffle cookies rolled into a cone, "Sirupsnipper" - diamond-shaped ginger cookies, "Sandkaker" - simple almond shortbread, "Goro" - intricately pressed, cardamom-flavored cookies, and "Pepperkaker" - akin to gingerbread cookies.

The preparation of these treats is a family activity, providing an opportunity for bonding and tradition sharing. Once prepared, they're enjoyed throughout the festive season, served to guests or gifted.
