Proud to drop this today! Symphonic Distribution

The whole album is out today! Listen to the two original indie fusion* tracks followed by remixes by ILKAMA, Center of the Universe, Beax / Stig Fostervold and Ishq / Ishq Qhsi

Enjoy Saleh Mahfoud "أبو تيا"'s plucking the magical qanun and creating dreamy atmosphere with the guitar, Torgeir Koppang grooving the bass synth and rhodes, Leila Prunelle Matta delicately playing the yearning yayli tanbur, Michaela Antalová progging and fondling the drumset and Solveig Sørbø singing and playing the impressionistic piano part. Then move to ILKAMA's dark electronica with warm synths and assymetrical beats. Then listen to Center of the Universe with his spooky and trippy club remix. Then Beax and his two IDM and ambient remixes featuring tons of subtle and emotive details. Then finally the hypnotic and the meditative remixes by Ishq.

Original track composed by Solveig Sørbø with contributions from the band, recorded and mixed by the fab Sigurd Thomassen.

What is more ambient and feelgood than acoustic guitar? My friend Vegard Riise explores Love Theme (from Hans + Liv) on guitar in my parents' living room. There is faint chatting over wine in the background, and Vegard is figuring out how to play the piece on guitar and coming up with some wonderful reharmonizations on the way. Listen and feel the ambience from the candles, the sparkling wine and that particular instance of spacetime.

"Love Theme (from Hans + Liv)" is out today! Audun Sandvik plays the saw and José Martínez Pérez plays the viola. They both made it sound like real love. The rest of the sound and feel is by moi. Peter Berg and I mixed and mastered it.

Dope stuff

-- With the Sun remix, Beax fuses together experimental jazz with IDM and the LA beatscene, creating a unique, head-bopping remix with a smooth funk in the bass. A Detroit Underground-mainstay and described by NRK as "the Norwegian Aphex Twin", Beax remixed this track down to something near and dear to everyone; seeing the sun, what gives us life, our nostalgia and our future. --

The Skyman remix is dreamy and mysterious and sounds like an unreal garden full of plings and plongs and drips, drops and dada!

Thank you Beax - Stig Fostervold - for these intricate and delicate remixes, and wow, what a cover design!!
