Hvil i fred, Ole Paus (1947-2023). Jeg kjente deg dessverre aldri godt. Men vi snakket sammen noen få ganger. Siste gang var backstage på Motorpsycho-konserten på Rockefeller 9. september i år, da vi ble enige om at du skulle spille inn en coverlåt til Motorpsycho-hyllesten jeg gir ut. Det ble dessverre aldri noe av, siden du ble alvorlig syk like etterpå. Men du laget jo så veldig mye annet fint vi kan høre på. Og så får heller guttene i Motorpsycho - og mange andre - hylle deg. Tusen takk for tekstene, musikken, humoren og generøsiteten.

Motorpsycho Tribute Series Volume 2 double LP + bonus 7" is officially out today! :-)

TEST PRESSINGS of Volume 1 and Volume 2 as well as Motorpsycho - Shock Me / Watching You 7" single will be available via Platebutikken Tiger (Fysisk Format & Diger) on Friday, 24 November 2023 from 12 pm (noon) Norwegian time. I will post an advance notice about it as well. Please don't email me about this. Thank you!

The sleeves for the test pressings of the double LPs are slightly delayed, but everything else is ready. I will post photos of the complete test pressings as soon as possible. They look amazing!

Heavy Metall Iz A Poze, Hardt Rock Iz A Laifschteil

Two KISS classics performed by Motorpsycho! Recorded 30 years ago and available together for the first time, with "Shock Me", featuring Dag Ingebrigtsen (Subway Suck, The Kids, TNT) on lead vocals, making its vinyl debut.

This 7" single is only available as a bonus with Motorpsycho Tribute Series Volume 2 double LP, but it's still a separate release and not part of the compilation. Limited edition of 1002 copies on black vinyl. It is only licensed for vinyl and therefore does not include a digital download.

Time for another update! Volume 2 double LP + secret bonus 7" single will be shipped from the pressing plant early next week and should be with us by the end of the week. That means they should be ready for shipping or pickup the week after, so those of you who have pre-ordered can expect to get it before or around the official release date on 17 November.

New deadline for Volume 3 is 1 December 2023. I will remind you all individually when I have time. Please note that I’m NOT looking for new contributions, only to get tracks from those who have already commited to be part of the project. Thanks!

Big day today! Received both the Motorpsycho Tribute Series Volumes 1 & 2 double CDs and the testpressings for the secret bonus 7" single that comes with the Volume 2 double LP! The double CD set is released on 6 October, but all pre-orders are already packed and will ship tomorrow. The double LP + 7" set will be out on 17 November, but if all goes well with the manufacturing I expect pre-orders for that to ship earlier as well.

The 30th digital single in the series is now available: SVERRE - Wishing Well (PSYCHONAUT 030). This is the final track to be released from MOTORPSYCHO TRIBUTE SERIES VOLUME 2, which is also available today as a 16-track digital album (double LP coming on 17 November 2023), along with the 30-track digital album MOTORPSYCHO TRIBUTE SERIES VOLUMES 1 & 2 (double CD out on 6 October 2023).

The 23rd digital single in the series is now available: Norwegian jazz quintet MOTIF included a version of Motorpsycho's "Blindfolded" on their self-titled debut album released in 2004 by Aim Records (AIMCD 104) in Norway and Bomba Records (BOM24020) in Japan. This excellent rendition went under the radar of most psychonauts, so we decided to include it in the series.

If you live outside Oslo, please send me your address if you haven’t done so yet. Platebutikken Tiger will get a list from me and send your copies asap. PLEASE NOTE: This series was originally planned to be physically released as a 12 x 7″ singles box set, but this proved to be way too costly and time consuming, plus the fidelity of the longer tracks cut at 33 rpm on 7″ discs was too low, and therefore the release format was changed to two double LPs. And since the number of contributions has since increased, we have decided to do four volumes in total, i.e. four double LPs and two double CDs. Volumes 3 and 4 will be out in 2024 and are not part of the pre-order/crowdfunding, so they must be ordered separately when released.
