It all started in 1987: After a few years of honing his talents as a singer, guitarist and songwriter, he tried out ideas with local rock bands, both as a live and a recording artist. The entire first edition of 1000 copies sold out in Bergen music stores, and the EP enjoyed 3 weeks on the Hordaland Top Ten. The next 5 years were spent, among other things, raising a family, working on different pr
ojects and what was to become the follow-up album to the EP. In 2001, Bennech Lyngboe and Terje Eide met through a cover-band. After a while, Bennech wanted to focus on original material, and He formed the Norwegian duo ON THE RISE together with Terje Eide. A 5 song demo was recorded with the assistance of Eirik Grønner and the full length album was released under the name ON THE RISE. On Melodicrock.com OTR were predicted "newcomer of the year 2003", and reached as high as #7 and #20 with the songs "Lift you up" and "Pride" (both written by Bennech) on the 2003 Award. Due to "musical indifferences", Bennech left ON THE RISE in fall 2003. After leaving, Bennech wasted no time: He took a few songs, which had already been written for the next OTR album, and made that the starting point for what eventually would become his first full length solo offering called MAIN ATTRACTION. Together with long time writing partner Marc Farrano he came up with well over a dozen new tracks. The new material had a slightly rougher edge to it, but was still melodic and catchy as hell! Finding musicians who would do the music justice wasn't too hard: Bennech brought in Zsolt Mezaros (drums) and Jan Martin Klevland (bass), who did a superb job on the OTR album. Completed by the fantastic guitarist Ronny Heimdal (D.I.M), they began recording some demos in Heimdal's studio, which aroused the interest of labels from The States and the U.K. In the end Bennech decided to go with MTM Music, based in Germany, because of their overall enthusiasm and professional attitude. The MAIN ATTRACTION album- KEEP ON COMING BACK was remixed in 2008 and released on Spotify ,Itunes….. with 2 bonus tracks and 3 songs remixed by legendary producer BEAU HILL(Warrant, Ratt, Europe.)
