How to use content marketing to grow your online store⭐

We recently read an educational article by WooCommerce about content marketing and wanted to share a brief summary of the main points with you🙌

Here are three ways to grow your online store with content marketing:

1️⃣ Attract leads
Without content like blog posts, eBooks or tutorials, your website relies only on product pages. Not everyone knows if they need your product, or that it even exists. So use content marketing to show how your product can solve your target audiences’ problem or question. Content marketing goes hand in hand with SEO (search engine optimization).

2️⃣ Nurture leads
When you get a new lead, you should collect their contact information and start nurturing them. If you offer leads valuable content, like eBooks, a free guide or access to a webinar, they will gladly hand over their email address. You have now turned your leads into contacts.

As you continue to produce new content, you should share it with your email list. By continually providing content that solves problems and answers questions, your target audience will begin to trust you as a source of valuable information. And when they are ready to buy, they will choose you.

3️⃣ Convert leads into buyers
Depending on the problem you’re solving, some content can directly sell the solution and link to appropriate product pages. It simply solves a problem through sales.

But you should always give the reader “a next step” to take within your blog post - like a chatbot, link to a contact page or a free offer in exchange for their email. ⏰ BEST TIMES TO POST ON SOCIAL MEDIA ⏰
We recently read an interesting article by SproutSocial on the best times to post on social media, and would like to share it with you guys! On Facebook, people tend to be most active on Wednesdays (around 11 a.m and 1-2 p.m) - so this is the time to publish! Before 6 a.m and after 6 p.m are the times with the lowest engagement.

We have tried following this guide in our social media strategy, and find that some days and times do work better than other. But we think the most important thing is knowing your audience. Some of you might have content that your followers would rather look at during the evening, and in that case, you should really consider that when planning your posts.

In order to get the reach we want, we have to follow our follower's routines - makes sense?

If you are a small business selling a particular product or service, you can profit from cutting out your business name and entering a relevant keyword instead. 2️⃣The next step is to use the Bio-field to tell visitors who you are and why they should care. When new users discover you on Instagram, you need to quickly give them the info they need to stay interested. Use a bullet list with emojis to make a short presentation of your business. #️⃣If you have a branded Instagram hashtag, include it in your bio to draw clicks and take interested users to an Instagram feed of branded or user-generated content💯 ⁣

⏰Set the alarm! Get up at the usual time and maintain the circadian rhythm.⁣

📝Make a To-do list for the day.⁣

🖥If possible, create a workspace that you use during working hours only.⁣
⁣
💡Create a pleasant atmosphere. Keep it neat around you and bring in some daylight.⁣

💥A good chair is critical!⁣

👨🏻‍💻Have your desk face away from everything else going on at home. You need to be able to disconnect from your home life.⁣

☀️Take breaks. Preferably breaks including fresh air.⁣

One thing we've learnt after sitting in a chair all day long is how important it is to MOVE 💃Just walking 5 metres over to the sink a couple of times a day to pour yourself a glass of water can do wonders! 💧
