On the edge of 2024 we are very proud to announce a new release on Deserted Island Music. A collaborational venture with No Hand Records.
This project is not 'just' another album release, as it concerns a comic as well as music album. While the project already started back in 2019, we got involved into it around 1,5 years ago.

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗷𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 - 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝘅𝘁𝗶𝘀
Dutch musician Martijn Comes found Dutch based artists and writers Lukas Simonis and Richard James Foster, and Greece based based illustrators Vassilis Gogtzilas and George Tourlas willing to collaborate.
Mastered by James Plotkin, the result “Frixtis” should be seen as a multimedia project combining a well written scifi comic and bizarre electronic soundscapes to take the reader / listener quite literally to another world.

From today the new Deserted Island Music label sampler is available from www.desertedislandmusic.nl and https://desertedislandmusic.bandcamp.com/

The "Past - Present - Future" compilation isn't actual anymore, as this was released in 2021, for the tenth anniversary of Deserted Island Music. Although we removed it from our Bandcamp and website, it will still remain in your collection if you obtained it.

For the largest part, the new sampler contains similar tracks from older releases, but some have been replaced, as well as the compilation has been complemented with brand new tracks from upcoming exciting new album releases.

Be sure to check it out, and spread the word!
Not in the first place because it's completely free, but also because there will be attached an anniversary-related discount code valid for the month July, redeemable for all Deserted Island Music titles from our website as well as all artists' Bandcamp pages.

On December 19th, 2020, Peter Dekker (aka Däcker) and I had our very first public appearance together.
On April 20th (which is already within three weeks) the concert registration sees the light as the "Live at BYSS" album release.

𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗟𝗕𝗨𝗠
During the pandemic, Bas Broekhuis invited musicians at his BYSS music studio.
Artists including Kontroll-Raum, Ron Boots, Skoulaman and René van der Wouden entered the small stage to perform their music for a large audience through a live video stream. Which was the only way to reach listeners in times of worldwide lockdown.
Also Remy Stroomer (REMY) and Peter Dekker (Däcker) got the opportunity to premier their collaboration at BYSS. This album contains the registration of their improvised concert.

I made a new mix, edited the music to fit on a CD, and Wouter Bessels did the mastering.
Currently, the album is at the pressing plant, and should be available on April 20th.
