03, 04, 05, 07 en 09. Deze album kwamen uit januari 1975. Dus 50 jaar geleden.
Wel extra vervelend nieuws dat John Martyn deze overlijdt in 2009.
06. Zij kwamen de top 40 binnen met deze single.
08. BZN tribute 30 januari in de Meerpaal Dronten. Deze opnames ergens eind jaren 70, dan wel begin jaren 80.
10. Cliff staat met Hank Marvin en The Young Ones om een nieuwe versie op te nemen.
12. Andrew Loog Oldham is deze dag geboren in 1944. Manager en producer van The Stones tussen 1963-1967.

09. Het album 21 breekt records in USA. 16 weken op 1, terwijl The Beatles en Pink Floyd er "slechts" 15 weken ooit op stonden
10. De basistrack voor dit nummer wordt door de heren in 1966 op tape gezet. De zang volgt in maart en april van dat jaar.
11. Keyboardspeler Peter Barden is op 22 januari 2002 overleden.
13. Rick van der Linden overlijdt in 2006.

01 en 02. Op 17 januari de muziek van Elton John uitgevoerd door Jamai Loman in het Agora Theater in Lelystad.
03 en 04. Op 17 januari kan de muziek van C.C.R. horen in De Meerpaal uitgevoerd door The Fortunate Sons.

05 en 06. Op 18 januari wordt Het Corneel in Lelystad omgetoverd in een Swifties paradijs door de formatie Love Story.
07 en 08. Ook op 18 januari maar dan in het Agora Theater in Lelystad speelt de formatie Boom, Like That! de muziek van de Dire Straits en Mark Knopfler.

09 en 10. Op 23 januari Motel Westcoast (o.a. Syb van de Ploeg - De Kast) met heel veel muziek van The Westcoast.

Interesse in deze muziek om je in te leven of na te genieten? Op zaterdag 18 januari is het Swifties paradijs weg uit Het Corneel en is alles omgetoverd tot een platen-cd beurs.

Dat was het weer inclusief reclame voor alle acts.

Woensdag 15 januari besteed ik aandacht aan wat agenda's van Agora, Corneel en ook De Meerpaal in Dronten. En de keuze kan best lastig zijn.

Daar treden muzikanten op als Tributeband of Coverband of als artiest die iemand zeer bewondert.

Je hoort in ieder geval 2 nummers van onderstaande albums.

Morgenavond dus vanaf 19 uur bij Radio Lelystad.

uitleg nummers 12 en 14. Deze zijn afkomstig van een cd die bij het boek Elvis in Nederland hoort. Geschreven / samengesteld door Rob van Scheers.
Nummer 15. Tijdens het samenstellen van de muziek voor deze uitzending kwam ik erachter dat Mickey Newbury als eerste met An American Trilogy kwam (album Frisco Mabel Joy uit 1971), daarna Elvis in 1972. Geprobeerd om hier een combi van te maken.

01. Er schijnt (in Amerika?) een soort nieuwjaarsliedjes canon te zijn en dit is een waardevolle bijdrage. Feestje gehad en aangeschoten thuis ............

02. Mij werd gevraagd of ik deze band kende (als Pink Floyd fan zijnde), nou nee dus. Waren een Pink Floyd cover band en hebben zich gewaagd aan The Man and the Journey wat Pink Floyd eind jaren 60 veelvuldig speelde, maar waar niet alle nummers officieel werden uitgebracht. En nog steeds waart de Pink Floyd geest rond op hun albums.

04 en 05. Hij overleed tijdens een autorit van het ene naar het andere concert. Overdosis morfine en alcohol. Werd slechts 29 jaar.

08. Zij zijn de inspiratiebron voor RPWL, zie nummer 2.

09. Recentelijk een theater voorstelling bezocht van The Billy Joel Experience en nog steeds maakt dit nummer indruk.
10. Aan het einde van het programma toch iets meer swingend het nieuwe jaar in.

De andere nummers heb ik gedraaid omdat ik daar zin in had.

De foto die je zie van Elvis met Happy New Year is niet zo maar gekozen. Volgende week 8 januari had Elvis 90 jaar kunnen zijn. Dan hoor je muziek van The King zelf, maar ook mooie covers vanuit binnen- en buitenland.

Alle luisteraars: DE BESTE WENSEN VOOR 2025!!!!

Na het vuurwerk geweld van afgelopen nacht (was erg lastig om het programma op te nemen (Ha! Ha!), maar toch gelukt) een rustig muzikaal begin met een klein beetje thema.

Ik start de uitzending met Taylor Swift. En verder?

Nou, muziek van: Billy Joel, Dennis Wilson, Eagles, RPWL, Pink Floyd, Hank Williams, The Flying Burrito Brothers en Robbie Williams. Uiteraard staat het hier in willekeurige volgorde.

Vanavond dus de 1e uitzending van het nieuwe jaar om 19 uur bij Radio Lelystad en dat ik er weer veel mag maken.
