Autumn is in full swing and we can reflect on a wonderful garden tour. We performed 17 times, from Brabant to North Holland, with audience members ranging from 5 months to 92 years old! Joke 't Hart Prijs voor ARquatic
Ervaar de plant met alle zintuigen

ARquatic dompelt het publiek onder in een complete ervaring voor alle zintuigen: de levende groene omgeving, live muziek en zeer levendige Augmented Reality (AR) uitbeelding van planten. ARquatic had zijn première in het Pinetum Blijdenstein op 6 juni 2021 en is er opnieuw te beleven op 4 september 2022.

Stelt u zich eens voor: u bent omringd door het rijke groen van een prachtige tuin, waar live piano en elektronische muziek opklinken. Voor uw ogen ziet u hoe een wondere digitale plantenwereld zich uit uw smartphone losmaakt en zich elegant wuivend mengt met de vegetatie rondom u. Dat is wat ARquatic u laat beleven. Het initiatief is deel van Veinbergs en Noriega’s CodeKlavier project, waarbij de pianist kan coderen via zijn instrument. Het gebruikte systeem (L-system) is oorspronkelijk ontwikkeld om het gedrag van plantencellen in de natuur te beschrijven en om de groei en ontwikkeling van planten te modelleren. De digitale structuren die op de klanken van de muziek verschijnen zijn daardoor zeer herkenbaar als plantengroei. Zo ontstaat een interdisciplinair kunstwerk waar het publiek met alle zintuigen van kan genieten. Dat muziek en digitale structuren in een geurige groene omgeving rondwervelen maakt de beleving compleet. Een geweldige ervaring en een innovatieve manier om kunst en natuur te combineren.

Over de Joke 't Hart prijs
De Joke ’t Hart Prijs, voor het verbinden van groen en kunst, wordt aangevraagd door een botanische tuin. In 2019 ging de prijs naar Nienke Beets van de Leidse Hortus; in 2020/21 naar kunstenaarsduo Hart van Veen voor het werk Draaiing. De editie 2022 werd gewonnen door ARquatic, op aanvraag van Pinetum Blijdenstein.
Een kunstwerk (beeld, voorstelling of wat dan ook) moet om in aanmerking te komen voor de prijs iets zeggen over de verbinding van natuur en kunst, het moet in een botanische tuin (NVBT-lid) te zien/horen/bewonderen zijn, het verbeeldt/verklinkt de (on)zichtbare wereld van planten, het heeft educatieve waarde oftewel het draagt het bij aan de vergroting van de kennis over planten bij de bezoekers aan de tuinen en is verrassend en speels.
