The 1954 Argentine Grand Prix was the 1st race of the F1 World Championship. Juan Manuel Fangio won the race, driving for Maserati, finishing 1 min ahead of his closest rival. It was held at the Autodromo 17 de Octubre in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on January 24th. The race was filled with accidents and retirements, and Mercedes-Benz returned to racing after a break.
