Out now: The Tony Slug Experience! We've been working hard on this record for years (and meeting up over delicious Chinese food in the process, see slide 2) and we're very excited that the album is finally out today for everyone to hear. We hope you love it and consider it an adequate homage to the legendary Tony Slug.

As a tribute to the Dutch rock’n’roll pioneer Tony Slug (BGK, Loveslug, The Nitwitz, The Hydromatics), an international group of friends has contributed to what would unfortunately become Tony's final record; right after all recordings were on tape, Tony died at the age of 60 after a brief battle with cancer.

We hope to see everyone at Slachthuis tomorrow where we'll be celebrating the release of this album.

Gallamesh is an Amsterdam-based modern metal band, taking their influences from metalcore, hardcore punk and modern death-metal. Today, the band releases their debut single, 'Stingrays'.

Gallamesh is Kees van Ekeren on vocals, Sander van Gelswijck on bass, guitar by Jeroen van der Lee and Guus van Gemert, and Niek Hubregtse on drums. These last three have been making music together for over 10 years, and their previous band X Raiders brought them to studios like Wisseloord and Split Second Sound, and festivals like FortaRock, Zwarte Cross and Paaspop.

Written and recorded in the same spider-infested garage that spawned their self-titled debut, Still Nervous is poised to be the ‘greatest follow-up record in the entire recorded history of recording follow-up records’. It’s a record that has been bubbling away in the background whilst Bad Nerves dragged their frenetic live show all around the world. A sophomore album that was never meant to exist, the release is packed with break-neck speed sing-alongs and is a record that will outlive me, you, and whoever else is reading this.

Welcome to the Suburban roster SKROETBALG!

Debut record will be released in fall 2024, EP will be released on the second edition of SKROETFEST on April 13th.

Skroetbalg (meaning ‘braggart’ or ‘big mouth’) is, in their own words, “a Lower Saxon beer commando” that plays punk rock ‘n’ roll with a lot of bravado. The band was formed out of sheer boredom during the first corona lockdown in 2020 and subsequently released its first demo tape in January 2021.

Skroetbalg swaggeringly sings with a lot of self-mockery and humor, about things that make life worth living: beer, cars, Methanol, bar fights, Pony Park Slagharen, other people’s mothers and of course their beloved province Drenthe.

💥 Jello Biafra features on new single 'Road Goat' 💥

Today we are proud to share the second single by The Tony Slug Experience, featuring none other than Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) on vocals! Tony Slug was first introduced to Dead Kennedys back in 1981 when they played at the Paradiso. Inspired by the new wave of American hardcore punk, Tony formed Balthasar Gerards Kommando (BGK), and in 1984 they crossed the Atlantic to play 35 shows in the USA, including eight with Dead Kennedys. The friendship between Tony and Jello lead to BGK releasing their future work on Jello’s Alternative Tentacles label.

Jello is one of the 30 musicians who feature on The Tony Slug Experience, an homage to Dutch punk pioneer Tony Slug, alongside Jennifer Finch (L7), Nicke Andersson (The Hellacopters), Jerry A. (Poison Idea), Happy Tom (Turbonegro) and many more! As a tribute to his legacy, this international group of friends contributed to what would unfortunately become Tony's final record; right after all recordings were on tape, Tony died at the age of 60 after a brief battle with cancer.

Tusky proves that punk-rock is alive and well in 2024, with the release of their fist-in-your-face-but-you-love-it new album: ‘Tusky’. This punk-rock record marks their fourth album, going back to the core of Tusky. Their new self-built recording studio allowed them to craft a personal and collaborative sound. 🎤🎸

The lyrics speak of topics like consumer society, digital bubbles, loneliness, inclusivity and mental health. “In the end, you write about what is important to you,” drummer Bas Allein Richir says. “That includes beautiful things as well as difficult things, and stuff you worry about.”

UK-rock band Neck Deep have announced their upcoming self-titled album Neck Deep, set for release on January 19, 2024, via Hopeless Records. “We’re so stoked to announce our new self made, self titled record,” shares vocalist Ben Barlow. “With a return to roots approach, we made this record ourselves at our warehouse in North Wales, with Seb at the helm, and the rest of us over his shoulder, like it was at the start.” Pre-order your CD or orange LP now in our webshop, and don’t forget to get your tickets to see the band live this summer!

Today, November 30, 2023, a new EP will be released, and unfortunately, this will also be the last material that Fire-Horse will release. It will be a farewell EP.

The band members are all too busy with various matters to give Fire Horse the attention it deserves. So has singer/guitarist Kevin Stunnenberg's family life recently expanded, and bassist Peter van Elderen is busy with the upcoming opening of his gallery and his other projects, which required concessions and choices to be made. Drummer Guy Pek will also continue with his other projects. Unfortunately, this means the end for Fire Horse.

Fortunately, there is one last effort to alleviate the sorrow in the form of an EP with new songs, which will be released on November 30 through Suburban Records and will be available for listening on all popular digital platforms: https://orcd.co/firehorsepurgatory
