In 'Rave On: Global Adventures in Electronic Dance Music', ._collin delves into burgeoning scenes from Durban to Dubai, interviewing our host along the way, engaging in discussions about the electronic dance music scene.
In his newest, 'Dream Machines: Electronic Music in Britain from Doctor Who to Acid House’, Matthew traces the evolution of music from avant-garde experiments post-World War Two to electronic dance music, documenting the pioneers and underground movements that shaped Britain's diverse electronic music culture.

The guests in town for Desert Groove!
These photos were taken in the Anza Borrego desert in California. it was during my time living in LA, a period in my life when I was figuring out a lot of things in my life. I was feeling stuck in the circumstance I was in, which translated to my creative rut. a friend of mine was also feeling similarly, so both of us (along with another friend) decided to drive out to the desert one weekend to get out of the city. we camped, shared tender memories, and created images together. this series is the result of trust and collaboration; of creating without any expectations. it was taken in 2018 and it’s a series that holds a special place in my heart.

We start this week thanking Aisha for all her efforts and great work in her term with us assisting with our social media. Wish her the best in her future adventures.

Tadafonk aka Ribal Rayess moved back to Beirut in 2010. He says he came back for a funeral and stayed for the party. Beforehand he was in NYC hopping around the art and music scene, holding design jobs, fronting bands and has played venues such as the CBGBs, The knitting Factory, Snitch, and Lit Lounge to name a few. But things were soon to change; he heard Keith Richards in an interview saying “Don’t make music before listening to records” and in the same day stumbled on Beats in Space Radio. Bands were quit, turntables where bought, home studio was set up and lives were changes. Forever.
We welcome our guest this week to curate episode #273 on TCR
For our next episode I am very happy to invite Ribal Rayess from Beirut! more on our guest this week.
