A customer needed some plates to install custom buttons for the windows and gave me a blank original. I used to create a bunch of prototypes for him to try. I printed them on the Prusa XL by in ASA and they fit really well. I like projects like these. Great fun.

Morning harvest time. I made 200 Seat Connectors for the seats in our conference rooms at . I quickly sketched them in and printed them on the Prusa XL 5T by in PETG. They work very well. You think I should share this model on ?

I needed to do a quick print and noticed that the PETG was slightly humid. I placed the active filament dryer next to my Prusa MK4 and was able to start the print after just 20 minutes. It really is the best filament dryer I have used so far. This thing rotates the spool and blows hot air through the box. It can even house 2 and 3Kg spools which is quite convenient.

Another Prusa i3 MK3 to MK4 upgrade finished. I decided to go with PETG and ASA (for Nextruder) Galaxy Black and it was a great choice in my opinion. It looks so good. The machine is calibrated, connected to PrusaConnect and filament is loaded so time to start a test print.

I'm assembling the Prusa MK4 upgrade for one of my Prusa i3 MK3S+ by today. I already disassembled the MK3S so time to start upgrading. I decided to print the parts for this MK4 in PETG and ASA Galaxy Black and they look stunning.

I just finished the upgrade and calibration process of the Prusa i3 MK3S+ to MK3.5 and it's great to see Jo's face telling me it's time for some Happy Printing! That means that the upgrade was successful. Time to start another full MK4 upgrade. Let's go!

I decided to up the ante a little bit and make the Overhang Egg a bit more challenging. I painted it in PrusaSlicer and am printing it in 5 colors PLA using a 0.2mm input-shaper profile on the Prusa MK3.9 & MMU3 by . It prints very well so far.

Our receptionist at needed a nice stand for her iPhone so I printed this nice simple iPhone Stand. The designer based this model off the lines of the desktop iMac all-in-one computers and has some holes for the charging cable. It is printed on the Prusa XL by in PETG Pastel Green.

Just finished the assembly of the awesome Spool Tank. This thing is built like a tank and has those nice auto-rewind spool holders by Vincent Groenhuis for when our new Prusa MK4 and MMU3 arrive. I also have the Printer Box enclosure for the Prusa i3 MK3S+ with MMU2S and will upgrade the enclosure to the MK4 version with MMU3 too and this spool tank will sit on top. This nice little Mesh Heart is printed in 50 micron in model resin Alabaster White on the Prusa SL1S Speed by . It finished beautifully and the print time was less than two hours.

A small group of the PLNT Leiden team is currently on the road for a ski trip so I just had to make this cool Beer Pong Funnel for them. It might be useful during the apres ski. 😉 The model is printed in 0.2mm layers using a 0.6mm nozzle on the Prusa Research 3D printers XL. I used Filament PM PETG Transparent Orange for this print and it looks very good. It also works quite well. 🙂 Cheers team! Safe travels.

This cool T-Rex is printed on the Prusa XL by Prusa Research 3D printers. It is printed in 0.2mm layers using 0.6mm nozzles and I used Prusament PLA and two skin tones Filament PM PLA for this one. I also scaled the model to 150% and added supports on the build plate. It came out real nice. Those colors look very good together.

We needed some paper towel holders for the 3D Printing Lab at so I browsed and found these simple but great ones. They are printed in PETG-CF on the Prusa MK4 by . I like the simplicity of this design. I already have been using them all day and they just work.

These last two weeks I printed a lot of resin again. A Dutch artist gave me the biggest challenge I ever had to figure out and I managed to make it work. Sadly I can't show you what we are working on yet but I am sure that you will love it as much as I do. I used all these printers so it was time to clean them properly and let them rest for the evening.

I'm so happy with the final result of the awesome Death Star model. The diameter is 34Cm and it's printed on the Prusa XL by Prusa Research 3D printers in Prusament PETG Galaxy Black in 0.2mm layers using the fast input shaper profiles. I used 6,5Kg filament for this awesome print and installed some LED's to make it pop.

The first print of 2024 I'm printing on the Prusa XL by Prusa Research 3D printers will be a nice one. I did so many prototyping prints which I could not show you guys in the last couple of months. So I think it's time for a beautiful Kijaidesign model in 5 colors Prusament PLA. Nice to print some colorful stuff again. Happy New Year!

My buddy tried resin printing and decided it's not for him. I can completely understand why people decide to not do resin printing in their home. I have a huge amount of print requests from the startups in our building at PLNT Leiden and could use an extra resin printer for the lab. This ANYCUBIC Photon Mono X is still brand new and I also got the nice large and a smaller wash and cure unit with it. 👍

Finished the assembly of my second MMU3 unit today and for this one I chose the oldschool Prusa Orange color for the printed parts. The parts are printed on the Prusa MK4 by Prusa Research 3D printers in Prusament PETG. I will install it on one of my MK3S+ printers first thing tomorrow morning.

Printed this beautiful 2023 Dutch GP trophy in Prusament PETG Signal White and Yellow Gold in 0.2mm layers on the Prusa XL by Prusa Research 3D printers. I received the print files for my birthday and finally had some time to print this cool trophy that was won by Max Verstappen in Zandvoort.

Printing a set of MMU3 parts in Prusament PETG Prusa Orange on the Prusa Research 3D printers i3 MK3S+. I just finished all the parts for the MMU unit so I only need to finish the buffer parts. The i3 MK3S+ is a little bit slower than its younger brother the MK4 but I still love the 3D printers. MK3 was the first printer for me that could operate for days on end without any issue.

Look at my happy face. I'm servicing another Prusa MINI+ by Prusa Research 3D printers and this stuff always makes me smile. Prusa printers are built so well so everything is quite easy to disassemble. I printed some new parts too because the old ones were quite dirty after years of operation. 🧡

I worked until 04:00 in 34° Celsius but look at this. I made some mad progress on the LDO Motors Voron 2.4 and it looks like a beast already. That glass fiber black looks great with the light blue and orange accents. I did find two happy accidents in the manual but this build is so much fun so far. It's day two of the LDO VORON CoreXY 3D Printer 2.4 300mm assembly and today we will clean, and lubricate the carriages of the linear guide rails. Yesterday I found a great video by NERO 3D about the lubrication basics and he used a Original WD40 UK PTFE spray for these rods which we will try today too. I still can't believe how fast the Bambu Lab 3D X1 Carbon is. 🤯 It's so freaking cool to see the layers get extruded at these speeds. Noooo! The 4 color Adalinda print I was doing on the Bambu Lab 3D X1 Carbon sadly failed because the purge tower came loose. To be honest I am not completely surprised. The purge tower is very small so when it reaches a certain height it is very easy to tip over. So I think a proper brim might do wonders for a purge tower like this. I've printed a lot of PA Carbon Fiber and a large portion of that is the super high-quality Fiberthree PA CF Pro. My printers are able to print it very well but the speed needs to be set low. The Bambu Lab 3D X1 Carbon is capable to print these materials at insane speeds and the quality is still amazing. Check out this Cheerful Pilot model by Bendansie3D. I wanted to see if it is able to print Carbon Filled Nylon in 0.16mm layers and it does it easily at 200mm/s for the outer wall, 300mm/s for the inner wall, and 250 for the infill. The Bambu Lab 3D X1 Carbon really is fast. On my other 3D printers I'm printing these SlimmeLezer covers for my buddy Marcel Zuidwijk in a bit over 6 hours at 0.3mm layers. On the X1 Carbon, they are finished in 2 hours at 0.26mm layers. I'm printing a large Prusa Research 3D printers logo on a shirt using the Kywoo_Official Tycoon Max. The filament I'm using is 3D print filament - Plasticz PLA Flex and I'm doing two 0.2mm layers. It worked better than expected because of the BL Touch sensor. The first layer is spot on without any alterations. I'm trying out the Swiss3Dc Starlex High Flow Zero Tool hotend on my Ender3 v2 with PITTA - Stellamove PITTA and it seems to work very well. Changing material is very easy on most 3D printers and the Kywoo_Official Tycoon Max is no exception. I actually think it's more easy to do this manually on this machine.
